"Lily Was Here" is an instrumental composition recorded by British guitarist Dave Stewart and Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer. It was released in November 1989 as the soundtrack to the film De Kassière, released in the UK as Lily Was Here. The song reached number one in the Dutch chart and was among the top twenty hits in a number of other European countries, Australia, and the United States.

The feelings of nostalgia for someone I never had...were unbelievably and painfully real.

There are dozens of songs that we consider as masterpieces, songs for all times, etc.. But this, this is something else, it's just beyond the time and space!
TRhank you, thank you all who put their hands to create this!!!
To nie piosenka,to utwór instrumentalny!
This track is and was always very nostalgic towards 80s. It's masterpiece!
I can't stop listening to this. Love the sound of a sax.
Wishing you for good health Sir. Hello from India

👏👏👏
HOW AM I JUST NOW IN LOVE with this song and CANDY ! Wow

Such a sexy, sultry song. Love this...
Oh dear i'm trapped, I can't get out, absolutely hooked on this.
Same thing darling! I want a lounge-bar like this, with this song to open and close by. Female Sax and Male Guitarist to play this song for cash prize.. ($500 to $1,000) just saying...
This isnt trap , this is an path :)
@@ares_0970 сестра да
Und alles gut ❤
I used to hear this often on a Smooth Jazz station in the Phoenix area, and would listen to it before bedtime. It would relax me after a long day. I would have a glass of wine while winding down, and get me to that place I needed so I could fall asleep easily.
I am glad to have found it again.
Natural
There is music out there that is just as deep you just have to dig for it. I've had to look at Poland and Germany for such bands and musicians
Same! I used to listen to this in my 20's and play it whilst driving long distance! It transports me back to places i forgot i had experienced. Love it! I'm so glad i came across it again! Peace and love from the UK 🙌🙏✌️

Not heard this in ages! 2024 rolling back the years, what a beautiful song...
I never get tired of this song
All my life. I’ve never heard this till now ❤❤. Seriously why am I so late to the party. Can’t get enough of it.
Pure Moods brought me here.
If you grew up in the '90s, you surely know what I'm talking about.
Chris Breezy nothing like pure moods cd
Loved that CD.
Masterpiece.
Sylwia Ts oh yes
It is a masterpiece. I love owls btw.
Seaside, Florida, 1991.
I had just turned 21, midsummer. Was working at Criolla's. A top-notch restaurant. Now just an ale house eatery. I was remembering the women I had been with. Driving down the beach highway in a place that would become hyperdeveloped 30 years later. Would pop this cassette in. The feelings of nostalgia for someone I never had...were unbelievably and painfully real.
Heaven....pure bliss by two great musicians.... What a way to come home after a hard day.... Relax & chill
Saxophone is the coolest instrument ever, especially when a beautiful woman masters it....
Simply the best Saxophonist of all times and I’ve been to many Jazz festivals and followed Kenny G a lot only because he always played in Tampa Bay Florida but once I heard Candy I’ve been infatuated with her duo with Dave Stewart in “Lily was here” I can listen to it all day every day especially this version ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
It is one of the instrumental songs and movie soundtracks with the most beautiful guitar and saxophone melodies of all time. Thank you.
Definitely a classic hood relaxing music thank you two
I don't know what movie soundtrack you are talking about. Can you inform me please?

I was searching for this song for God knows how long and I finally found it! A masterpiece, really touching piece of music!
Me too. This sound is just kept in my mind for so long, since a child. But now I am found it 😊
This song is on her debut album Saxuality.
