While watching your video I finally had the moment where things "clicked" and made sense - thank you! Your examples where you walk us through step by step really made a huge difference in clarifying the concepts!

Thank you! This really cleared up Impeachment of witnesses for me. Bar prep had me very confused!

Why can’t the prosecutor offer evidence of the witnesses’ untruthful character? Isn’t that the purpose of impeachment by offering reputation or opinion testimony?

Under 608, good character of truthfulness can only be brought after being attacked. The video at 5:04 shows A testifies on direct to the D's good character for truthfulness. Is this allowed?

Under Rule 404 (a) (2) (A), the defendant, in a criminal case, may introduce character evidence of the defendants own pertinent character trait. I am assuming that this is the reason that the evidence is being admitted, because you are correct that 608 (a) only allows evidence of a witness's character for truthfulness to be brought in only after their credibility for truthfulness has been attacked.
If I am incorrect please correct me... preferably before 10 PM tomorrow night, because I have an evidence final coming up, lol.

@@montecraz2172 You are absolutely correct! I figured this out couple weeks before my Evidence final, which I just took two days ago. If the prosecution charges D with fraud. 404a2A come in. Thank you.
