I remember Turkish hospitality so well! That guy in the wine shop was the perfect example - offered you an entire wine tasting session without pressuring you into buying anything. Would love to visit Mardin one day, looks like a unique place!

It was a Syrian land but then the genocide in June 1915 happened and my ancestors got killed and others displaced southern Syria to Hassakeh and ras el Ain! Ah ya Mardin!
