Major Sites Served With Manual Penalties By Google For Reputation Abuse

  • Google is rolling out its site reputation abuse policy, and the first to get hit are major websites like Forbes, Fortunate, CNN, etc. However, this is going to trickle down to smaller publishers but exactly when that happens is still not known.

    Google seems like they’re in a weird place right now. It’s like they’ve given up on the search bar & are justing churning as much ad revenue as possible till it’s discontinued.
    As a casual user, every change they’ve made in the last 12 months has worsened the user experience.
    I’m shocked the 800 LB gorilla is spewing such spammy/bad search results while alternative AI engines are knocking it out of the park.

      I setup a Reddit group but rival groups reported mine and got it banned despite not breaching any terms of service.
