    can i just say i think it’s great that you have a boyfriend who is vegan AND does yoga with you AND runs with you AND does different forms of exercise with you? honestly goals, i’d love to have a vegan boyfriend that shares that many of my interests 😭😭

      @@bluegirl9777 I used to date a non-veg.. tbh vegan guys are far more compassionate, and can i say, some are way manlier than the man-babies who cry about their meat? Being with a vegan ruins you for non-vegs.

    Excellent video. I don't need exercise because I get it at work and through gardening in my allotment. Lentil Bolognese is great full of protein and fibre. Great that you're managing to grow some of your own plant foods, that will reduce the amount of plastic packaging in your food shopping.

    I totally feel you on having fitness goals, knowing that you'll reach them eventually, but not seeing much progress day to day. I've been climbing almost a year now and the other day I noticed some muscle definition that is definitely new. It can be frustrating to not see the progress, it tends to happen slowly and then all the sudden you can do the thing you've been trying to for so long.

      That's awesome! I just started bouldering this year and it's crazy how long it takes to see the progress (I'm just about seeing it now, but mostly bc I strength train on the side). I hope you get those gains soon! 💪

    hey caitlin! i have a question about your relationship with dylan and i'd really appreciate you're answer in case you're okay with giving one. someone else mentioned in the comments how you two seem to share so many interests and activities, but while you two really seem to be working so well as a couple, does it sometimes seem overwhelming to you? like, do you guys talk much about personal space and alone time and stuff to keep it balanced? i've been living with my boyfriend for a while now and realized that no matter how much i love him, i regularly need to take a step back and either talk to him about it, intentionally spend a lot of time alone or do both because i so easily reach a point where i don't feel like my own person anymore but kind of stuck in the dyad we build as a couple. can you relate to that? can anyone relate to that? :D

      lol yes completely feel you, it's totally normal and necessary to take your alone time and breaks from one another, in my experience it's really important to maintain your own identity and your own interests even in long term relationships :)

      I'm not Caitlin, but hopefully input from others is welcome as well! My boyfriend and I live together as well, and we spend a lot of time "alone together" - as in, we might be in the same room, but we're each doing our own thing and not focusing on entertaining each other. I think it's also important to have your own interests and hobbies that you can do independently, and to remember to foster the other relationships in your life as well. Having little things you can do on your own regularly is also good, such as going on a walk, doing some grocery shopping, going to a coffee shop for a bit, going to a yoga class, etc.

    And btw, another suggestion for those who may not like excercises...try Ballet classes! I resumed them, in my 50's! :) Lol!
    But anybody at any age and with zero experience can take Ballet!

    I am confused. Isn’t that still a shit ton of working out ? Yoga twice a day? Plus hiking and running and strength training ? Of course if that makes you happy, it just still sounds a bit obsessive ...

      It may just be that day :) 2 yoga sessions a day is pretty normal for Caitlin though for starting/ending her days

    Wrapping resistance bands around the bar is the best way to learn to do pull-ups. You lower the resistance as you get stronger. I would supplement that with weight training as well, specifically back/lat focused movements because you need those muscles to do a pull-up. For a pistol squat, you can use a TRX band to do an assisted one until you can do a full one. :)

    I totally agree with you, I have fitness goals for building muscle and strength but getting sculpted is kinda like an EH thing. Ultimately I'm a foodie with a love for exploring new places while I exercise so moving intuitively has always kinda been my thing. You go Caitlin! (I'm rooting for that pull-up too! I'll get that done one day xD)

      It might be nothing, but just a reminder that Iodine is the most underrated supplement there is - as vegans, we do need to take it because chances are we don't eat algae frequently enough. And no, sea salt isn't enough.

      I think they have cooking together! (Though eep don't remember the name) Shle probably also doesn't film him cooking too much cuz Dylan doesn't work from home (and whatever time he isn't there is probably spent with her at his leisure :)). But I totally understand, Dylan is undoubtedly a good cook and I'd love to see some of his favorite recipes he makes for the both of them or something

She may be fine now--as far as she's sharing...but eventually she is going to have bad stomach issues...especially eating late at night like that...Then not eating for so long and exercising on top of it.

    I have two meals a day as well. Breakfast and dinner, I just make sure I eat enough for each meal.
    Daily I do 20-30min yoga , then a 12min yoga focusing on abs or a 12min yoga focusing on legs/arms/abs, and then 4-6min exercise that focuses on abs

      yeah, i've noticed that too, which on the one side is so nice, because these are all good habits they have and living together, they do spend a lot of time together. But it's still a rather new relationship and you "melt" into one person quite easily, when it feels like the best thing ever :D but i've gone through it myself, when it backfires and you find yourself completely lost.so i just hope they remain two separate people who love each there, instead of one person...

      It’s not always a bad thing to change “for” your SO. Before I met my boyfriend I had never considered myself an outdoorsy person. My parents never took me hiking or camping growing up so I wasn’t really exposed to it. Since dating my boyfriend I’ve got really into hiking and climbing 14ers and backpacking/camping. I’m so in love with my current lifestyle. We’ve been together 3 years so it’s not like it’s a honeymoon phase anymore.

    Can he PLEASE put a shirt on when he’s in your videos? Honestly it’s kind of uncomfortable- we ain’t all into that. You wouldn’t walk around shirtless in a food related video... otherwise I’ll just need to stop watching. I watch these videos on the bus, train, in my lunch breaks etc and I get a lot of WTF looks when a half naked man suddenly pops into the frame

      Because she has a balanced well-rounded diet with a history of consistent exercise which results in good amount of muscle mass :)

      It reminds me of times where parents and teachers completely dismiss our problems because we are "privileged" compared to other people in the world and our ancestors. For example the time I finally told my dad that I wanted to and tried to stab myself a few times but couldn't get myself to do it and he cut me off to tell me how ungrateful I was being for doing that and how lucky I am to have such "great parents". Then walked away before I could respond to go watch tv.

      @@phillippinter7518 I know, it's so ridiculous when you try to express feelings and thoughts and they are considered invalid because there are others who have it worse. I had to hold myself back from calling this out to my teenage son recently though. It looks to me like he misses what's good in his life and always complains about the bad. The word "priveleged" comes up in my head which I just remind myself is "a different experience" and try to hear him explain his thoughts and feelings from where he stands.

      If you are referring to the whole wasp thing, that is only with some figs. Not all figs.

      @@zoebeth5949 Umm yeah that's true but figs aren't fruit they are flowers. In them are living wasps, insects so by eating a fig you are eating one dead insect.
