193 Aaron's Story 27th of May 2010 Part 2

- The Story of Aaron Livesy from Itv's soap opera Emmerdale.
Synopsis: Aaron's humiliated after falling into the lake but when Gary intervenes, Aaron claims that his fall was an accident as he tripped backwards. Wayne smirks as Aaron's forced to change into dry clothes. Back in the village, Adam's sorry to hear that Aaron's had a rough time at community service but insists that they now have more reason to go out.
The pair head to Bar West and Adam points out that the evening's not as bad as Aaron thought it would be. Aaron reluctantly agrees - until he spots Jackson.
When Aaron tries to apologise to Jackson for what happened between them, Jackson's firm - he isn't interested and would never want to be with someone who's violent.
As Adam and Aaron prepare to leave, Aaron's gutted to see Jackson kissing another guy. Will Aaron be able to convince Jackson to give him another chance?

Really, what a great episode! Aaron's vulnerability is so palpable at the moment...but still, he's very lucky for having such an amazing mate at his side. Seriously, Adam is the closest thing to a Godsend. And I have to say that I completely understand Jackson: after what he's been through, Aaron's apology was too little, too soon...
But I totally got the impression that in time, Jackson will give in...
I honestly don't know who heart got stumped on the hardest mines or Aaron and the look on Aaron's face as he watched Jackson and that other bloke it just tore my heart to shreds I almost started crying.
This whole episode was too good...

I'll give Jackson a few weeks before Aaron starts to get back on his good side. After being decked in public the feelings hurt and humiliation takes time to fade away. I hope Aaron gives Jackson the space and let him find the right time to let Aaron back into his life.

I really hope aaron and jackson can make up. it was obvious in court that jackson was glad aaron came out but I undertand him for still being guarded around aaron. for them to ever have a relationship aaron has some serious making up to do and quick. I am rooting for the two of them.

As much as I want to, I cannot hate on Jackson because when Aaron was being difficult,Jackson made the continuous effort to try and hook up. Now that Jackson is being difficult, I think it's Aaron's turn to make the effort. I think its a good role reversal, and it is realistic. I mean lets face it, in the other story lines where the guy takes back the abusive guy once he has changed, no questions asked.... yeah, as if that happens in real life.

Jackson is really growing on me. Love the puppydog way he looks at Aaron. It obvious he still fancies him, but you cant blame him for not wanting to be with someone who punched him. Not the best start to a relationship.

I think they've portrayed Jackson realistically, and not as a prick.
I think there will be no Aaron & Adam relationship beyond very good friends, because Adam is straight.
Finally, I've always felt sort of neutral toward Jackson, neither especially like or dislike him.
I don't feel invested in Aaron & Jackson eventually getting together or not.
I'm looking forward to seeing Aaron continue to grow.

It is a shame they have to paint Jackson as a prick, to give way to a relationship with Adam. I liked Jackson and will def miss him.

@HigherC Well I think those would all be good arguments if not for the fact that he goes to the court, leads him on, and kinda plays hard to get. That's frustrating, I mean it's easy for him to dismiss it later, it kinda seems like he is playing a stupid little game a this point.

@Sim2500 I agree they'll be no adam+aaron, but I don't see the connection between being flat mates and "strange on screen."
For actors there's usually nothing very sexy about kissing someone with a dozen or more people watching: camera, sound, and lighting crews, director, and others. True, the fact that they're friends off camera may help them portray friendship on camera.

@HigherC In real life, I'd say Aaron and Jackson both need to look elsewhere for a boyfriend. In soap land the economy of plot, desire for drama, and the actual economics of casting may suggest there's a chance Aaron and Jackson will eventually get together. I'd like to see Aaron with a boyfriend, whether it's Jackson or someone nicer. For that matter, I'd like to see Adam with a girlfriend nicer than Scarlett.

Forget Jackson. He's not interested. Take Adam's advice. You can't force someone to listen to you, and there are plenty of other eligible gay men, some even in that bar who were better looking and--who knows?--maybe nicer.
