      Thank you for responding. Somehow, it still does not work. I linked the pixel to my homepage. Should I link it to my thank you page to track conversion instead? However, I'm not able to find the link. Cheers!

      @@raphaelwong4891 This pixel is not installed on the homepage. I also recommend you install the new pixel version with GTM, so enhanced tracking works, explained here: czcams.com/video/nwTncF_ypoo/video.html

    Hi! Thanks for this clear explanation! Question - is this a better way than using the new "Google & CZcams" app that Shopify offers? It seems like their app doesn't have enhanced conversion tracking. What are your thoughts?

      I believe Google and CZcams app does have enhanced conversions. The reason you may want to install it manually is that the Google and CZcams app sometimes just stops working, and re-installing the app does not fix the issue. So to avoid this, manually installing is more reliable.

    Awesome, thanks for this! I did an older version of this that required editing the "additional scripts" section of "checkout" in Shopify, should I remove this now or does it not matter? Thanks

      You can remove it, or you can set the old conversion action to secondary, or remove the other conversion action. 3 viable ways forward.

    Hi Emanuel, very clear and precise explanation. (1) Do you know if adding this, will also help with the conversion tracking in Google Analytics? We are not sure what happened, but currently, neither analytics nor adds are counting our conversions. (2) Additionally, if we leave the conversion action as "secondary", will it still show up in Ads and Analitics? (Thanks for the help=

      1) It will not. 2) No it will not. If you want to show it in Google Ads, you must set it to primary. Regarding Google Analytics, you need to set this up seperately, or use Google and CZcams app in Shopify.

    Super helpful video - thanks! But our installation code for our new/just-created conversion goal does not look like the code you have pictured in your video instructions. It does not have the full "send to" value that you reference. We're able to find our AW-#### conversion id, but not a full "send to" value. See the code we received after creating our new conversion goal below. Why would we be receiving different installation code and how should we proceed?

      I recommend following the new video as this version of the code does not support enhanced conversions: czcams.com/video/nwTncF_ypoo/video.html
      And regarding different codes, you may be following the new code that I reference in the new video, and you may want to click on the tab where it says Shopify Pixel not Shopify Pixel + Enhanced Conversions

    Nice video, when I open my webshop now and check with the Google Tag Assistant whether the tag has been set, it confirms this. However, the tag is already recognized before the user gives permission in the cookie settings. How can I ensure that the tag only becomes active after consent has been given?

      You need to install a cookie consent v2 app. Contact the app support for any specific questions you have. Consent is controlled by the cookie consent app, not the conversion pixel.

    Hey there, after implementing this I am getting "setup issues detected: Implement In-page code in addition to Automatic for better results" - do you have guidance on this? Thanks a lot. Seems there is option to add CSS or Javascript

      When you installed the pixel, historically it takes 45 to 75 days, for Google to verify enhanced conversion data. Assuming you have enabled the account level enhanced conversions, it should be detected.

    Hello Sir, Thank you very much for your videos.
    I am actually facing some serious issues with conversions tracking.
    I do have consent mode v2 + consent tags installed on tag manager. I tried the simprosys tag, the ga4 tag and one through tag manager and they are all missing more than 70% of my conversions.
    My cookie banner gets 92% of consent so it's not the problem.
    What do you recommend me to do here ? I tried everything and everytime people tell me i'm supposed to get 85/90% of conversions and google just get like 20-30% of the conversions now. So gads doesn't wanna spend because it doesn't record all the conversions. It's driving me crazy...
    I would be really rateful if you could help me to solve this huge issue.

    Very informative video, Thank you for this. I am trying to test the setup with the tag assistant companion, but when I reach the checkout section of my client's shop the connection is lost. Have tried multiple times and it always disconnects around the section where I have to place my payment information. Any experience / solution with this?

      What you experiences is correct by design. Shopify pixels are run in sandbox mode, which means you can not see the data when using Google Tag Assistant or any assistant tool. That is now how it works.

      Are there any steps previous to this installment that I am missing?
      I have done as you instruct in this video and placed the Gtag into the theme.liquid. I can see that my Enhanced Conversions setup is not working propperly yet because it has not tracked any conversions while it's been up, but the conversion actions running through Google & CZcams app have been activated.
      I appreciate any insight you might be able to provide. I have looked all over for possible solutions.

    Hi Very nice video! Got a few questions:
    (1) Does a Google Tag needs to be set-up in GTM?
    (2)If Yes, does it need to be added in theme.liquid?
    (3)Also if a tag is needed, shouldn't you have to gtag('set', 'user_data', { for the event checkout_completed for enhancec conversion?
    (4) If no Google Tag is needed, When you go to settings, Enhanced Conversion, you can see that their is a error, since it can't find a google tag...

    When I go to set up enhanced conversions, I don't see that option / field in my UI.
    I have Enhanced Conversions for leads and Engaged-view conversions - but not Enhanced Conversions.
    How can I correct that?

      The settings option for enhanced conversions, did used to be a new feature and not all accounts had it. I am not aware there where still accounts that don't have this feature yet. So I'm guessing you have to wait for Google to upgrade / update your account with new features. You could enable the Google API conversion tracking to see if this works on the conversion action itself.

    Shopify has the Google and CZcams app - if we want to use this instead. How do we turn that off?

      In Google ads, either set the other conversion action to secondary, or delete it. If it was me, I would just set it to secondary.

      There are several reasons this can happen. Google Ads will show in 24 hours. User has not given consent.

      I recommend you implement consent mode v2 using a Shopify app. Simply search the app store and you have a lot of options.
