Babylon is nothing else but catholicism, which has the figure of the pope as the new roman emperor. No other kingdom fits this description so well as the modern roman empire, that is the Roman Apostolic Universal(Catholic) Church.
@@TheFrankko1 No its not. Mystery Babylon was Old Covenant Jerusalem, and the beast she rode was pagan Rome and its spiritual ruler. She was punished by fire for persecuting the saints. The parable in Matthew 22:1-10 explains what would happen to apostate Israel for rejecting her Messiah.

I was preaching from the mid 90's about America's fall.
People were laughing in my face. Few people can see it now as a good possibility but many are still asleep.
It is God"s will and will come to pass.
People are disconnected from the scriptures and trust their own technology.
From the hight of human technological accomplishments people are going to be thrown to the ground to wake up and see who is in charge and who's will will be done.

The "last days" referred to in the Scriptures were the last days of Mosaic, Old Covenant Israel, as prophesied by Daniel, Joel, Isaiah, Ezekiel and many more. The New Covenant Messianic Age (The "Age to come" in Jesus' day) has no end, and we're in it!
1 John 2:18 says it was the last hour (that's almost 2000 years ago). The last days began back then, the time was short, and of course Jesus told all those who would listen that He would return in their generation, that some would still be alive at His return, and that not even all of Israel's cities would have been visited by those He sent out (that's what Scripture says!)
I believe Jesus, not today's indoctrinated scholars. He was quite specific. If you are interested than I'll explain more. Peace

Been looking through a few channels tonight, incl Dr Baruch's channel, but I haven't found an answer to this question:
Revelation 16:3 and 16:4 say that the sea and rivers of fresh water have become blood. If this is literal then why do we have water again mentioned subsequently in Revelation 16:12, which refers to the waters of Euphrates ? And further how do birds survive as referenced in Revelation 19:1 if there has been no fresh water or seafood, for example for the seagulls ? And what about vegetation and plant life also ? How does the rest of Revelation play out on a human level if the fresh water and sea have become blood as has already occurred earlier according to Revelation 16:3 &16:4 ? - Humanity and animal life would only survive a few weeks, which is insufficient time for the balance of Revelation's subsequent events to be completed.

Also since all the beast kingdoms previously were in the Middle East around the Mediterranean perhaps it’s not a global empire rather as Joel says in chapter 3 it is the surrounding nations.

God judged him and caused him to act like a wild animal until...... I don't want to spoil it for you. Daniel is my of my absolute favorite prophetic books. There's so much more to it. If you go through the entire book, plus, Daniels prayer, it's something that only God will be able to speak with you, through, His word.
I highly, highly, encourage you to go through it with Dr. Baruch. There's messages about being faced with man's law vs God's law, parallel to what's coming.... that's where you'll find who Yeshua and the Father truly is and it will speak to you in so many different ways. ........

When the scripture talks about the final fall of Babylon it seems to keep mentioning a specific locale:
"Babylon of the Chaldees". True, the spirit of false religion spread out from there to the whole world but this mention must mean something concerning the final destruction of Babylon that will "never be inhabited again." Can you discuss this?

The Harlet sounds like it's to be the pope in Scarlett and Stones?
No that's not true. A harlot (biblically) is an adultress wife, and apostate Papal Rome was never married to God. Only God's true bride (born again believers) and Old Covenant Israel (the pre Christian saints) were married to God.
So that eliminates the Pope!
Secondly. Mystery Babylon is a city, not a state or a religion. She sits on a beast with seven heads, representing seven hills (Rome), and seven kings. One of the kings was alive when Revelation was written (Rev 17:9). That king would be Emperor Nero (54-68 AD).
So that eliminates anything in our future.
Babylon the harlot is contrasted with the faithful bride (compare Rev 17:1,3 &18 with Rev 21:9-10, if you can, copy and paste onto a word document and see how they are so obviously paralleled).
This faithful bride is the New Jerusalem (Galatians 4:21-31 describes the relationship between the two cities and the two covenants)
The Harlot (see also Isaiah 1:21) is adorned with the priestly garments associated with the Temple (compare Rev 18:6 with Exodus 28:15-17) Only the blue is missing, signifying that she has forsaken God's commandments (Numbers 15:38-40)
Finally, only Jerusalem killed the prophets (Mark 13:33-34)
If you study these Scriptures carefully, you will see that there can be no other explanation than the one given above. Hope you come to see as I have been shown.

Up to this day and age Protestant Churches should have already a defined name of who or what Babylon from Revelation is. It doesn't matter if it is wrong because the Spirit of the Lord will guide or convince people about the ID of it.
My SDA church affirmed almost since 1844 that Babylon is the representation of the the Roma Papal in fact, most of the protestants who suffered persecution under the RCC during the Middle Ages, believed so.

Mystery Babylon was Old Covenant Jerusalem, and cannot be applied to any other city, country or empire. If you believe in "Sola Scriptura", then comparing those same Scriptures can only lead to one conclusion.
Only Israel was married to Christ (as we are today, true believers, and not Papal Rome who has never been married to Christ). Only Jerusalem killed the prophets (as Jesus said in Luke 13:33-34) which alone rules out any other city.
She, the Harlot, rode the beast, which represented pagan Rome and her spiritual ruler. One of the beast's heads (representing a king) was alive at the time Revelation was written, which places those events in the 1st Century.
Its all been fulfilled, Historicism and Futurism cannot supply the answers, and have to twist the Scriptures somehow to fit. Only Jesus' words matter, and He said He would return in His discoiple's generation, some would remain alive, and they would not even have finished evangelising Israel before He returned. Its all there in Scripture, which is that's why I believe it.

You are correct.
The Beast described Pagan Rome and her demonic ruler (which came out of the abyss). The seven heads represented Rome's seven hills, and the first seven emperors, one of who was alive at the time of the vision.
Mystery Babylon referred to Old Covenent Jerusalem, who was guilty of killing the prophets and the saints.

Babylon is the papacy. The great city is Rome. The harlot is also the papacy along with the 1st beast in Rev.13. The false prophet, the daughters of the harlot and 2nd beast in Rev.13 is apostate Christianity mainly in the US.

The Lord warned us that there would be false prophets. God's relationship was not with Rome, but with another who broke her covenant vows with Him. Eschatalogical Jerusalem (i.e. in modern day Israel) fits sorrowfully much better than Rome.

Revelation 11:8 ESV. The great city here through out the book of Revelation is Jerusalem which the Antichrist will make the capital of his empire. I know it is hard for Jewish preacher to accept but the Scriptures are so clear and simple. Jerusalem & the temple has been destroyed in judgement before when the Jews thought it would never happen. They mix pure teachings in the scriptures with human teachings that actually violate God's commands.

Zechariah 14:1-8 AMP. God will preserve 144,000 Jews from the 12 tribes from the Wrath/judgement that will follow the Rapture according to Revelation 7. The passage is very close Rev 16 because Zechariah says the City is split in 2 parts east and west, Revelation says the great city is split in 3 parts.

The Beast represented a kindgom (compare Daniel 7:23-24 with Revelation 17:12)
Now if the ten horns of the beast represent ten kings (Strong's G935), who have no kingdom (Strong's G932) themselves, yet arise from one kingdom, the the seven heads also representing seven kings (Strong's G932) cannot be interpreted as being kingdoms either, at least not without violating the principle of Biblical interpretation.
The seven kings were in fact Rome's seven Emperors up to that time, namely:
Julius, Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, Nero (the one who "is") and Galba, (who reigned for only seven months - see Revelation 17:10)
Mystery Babylon was in fact Old Covenant Jerusalem, and Scripture confines this to within one city and one timeframe.
She sits on the beast, yet the horns turn on her and burn her with fire (see Revelation 17:16)
Jesus said the same thing would happen to the city which belonged to those who persecuted and killed the saints (see Matthew 22:7 and verses 1-20 for context)
Jesus described how this would happen to one generation alone (see Matthew 23:34-36, and compare verse 35 with Revelation 18:24)
Jesus limited the place in which a prophet could perish (see Luke 13:33-34)
Jesus linked these events to the destruction of Jerusalem's temple (see Matthew 23:37-38), and then attested to that fact just three verses later (see Matthew 24:2).

Good insight. If we examine more closely the books of Daniel 7 and Revelation 17, there will be differences between the two beasts. The 4th beast in Daniel 7:7,8,23,24 has 1 head and 10+1 horns. While the beast in Revelation 17 has 7+1 heads and 10 horns.
According to the earliest evidence, John wrote the book of Revelation about 96 C.E., some 26 years after the destruction of Jerusalem. This was towards the end of Emperor Domitian's reign. To confirm this, Irenaeus in his book *“Against the Apostasy” (V, xxx) says of the Apocalypse: “It appeared not so long ago, near our time, towards the end of Domitian's reign.”* Eusebius and Jerome both agreed with this statement. Domitian was the brother of Titus, who led the Roman army at the time of the destruction of Jerusalem. He became emperor when Titus died, 15 years before the book of Revelation was written. He demanded to be worshiped like a god and adopted the title Dominus et Deus noster (meaning “Lord and Our God”). Emperor worship did not bother those who worshiped false gods, but it was unacceptable to the early Christians, who in this case refused to compromise their faith. *Thus, towards the end of Domitian's reign (81-96 C.E.),* Christians were subjected to cruel oppression. John is thought to have been exiled to the island of Patmos by Domitian. When Domitian was assassinated in 96 C.E., he was succeeded by the more tolerant emperor Nerva, who later released John. It was during his imprisonment in Patmos that John received the visions he wrote about.
So the 7 Kings that John refers to in Revelation 17 are not the emperors you mean above. Because Nero and Galba had ruled long before John had the vision.
First of all John got his revelation from Jesus not from Daniel... in Rev 1:1-2 and it reads.

I'm afraid that's not going to happen. The Lord Jesus came when He said He would do (Matthew 10:23, 16:27-28/Mark 8:38/9:1 & Matthew 24:34)
Those signs in Luke 21:25 were to come before that generation passed away (Luke 21:35). It is prophetic language as used in the OT and not to be take literally (see Isaiah 13:1,10, 17)
Jesus was actually quoting from Joel 2:30, and Peter describes the start of these events being fulfilled at Pentecost namelay Joel 2:28-29 (see Acts 2:14-21, where he quotes Joel 2:28-32 save for one sentence)
I believe what Jesus said, and He said He would return within their generation!

The events described in Luke 21:24 occured between 66-70 AD, as virtually all Biblical Scholars accept, and is recorded by historians such as Josephus.
Jesus connects the Abomination of Desolation and the one and only (see Matt 24:21) Great Tribulation with the siege and ultimate destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 (within the timeframe He predicted in Matt 24:34)

1. These scoffers are fellow Israelites, as they make mention of the Patriarchs (2 Peter 3:4)
2. They believe in the Genesis account of creation (so aren't modern skeptics)
3. These men had crept in unnoticed into the early church (Jude 1:4)
4. They ate and drank with the believers (Jude 1:12)
5. The same Greek word for scoffers and mockers is used, which ties Jude to 2 Peter.

The creation of mystery Babylon is prophesied in Ezekiel 17. In that prophecy, we're told how the king of Babylon took the king of Judah from Jerusalem to a land of traffic in order to keep the kingdom of Judah as part of his international trade cartel.
In Second Kings 25 and Jeremiah 52, we're told how Evil-merodach, a later king of Babylon, took the king of Judah out of prison and set him on a throne that was above the thrones of the other kings in Babylon.
Thus, the Babylonian trade cartel was set up as a table of kings ruled by the king of Judah who exercised all the authority of the king of Babylon.
As such, the exilarchy of the Jews was established. It continued even when the empire of the Persians and Medes replaced the Babylonian empire.
In fact, its influence, according to Esther 8, increased as gentiles from Ethiopia to India became Jews in order to be safe from the Jewish sword.
As such, the Jewish exilarchy held international sway over non-Hebrew Jews as if they were the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
This condition remained manifest until the 11th century AD.
Even though sight of the exilarchy is lost by the time the Mongols sacked Baghdad, it is unreasonable to think that a king with international resources of commerce and other kings just disappeared. About the time that the exilarchy submerged, Ashkenazi Jews showed up in Poland.
Guess which part of Judaism continues to pray for the exilarchy while the Sephardic and reformed Jews do not.

The cross is the mark of the beast.
The Vision of the Harlot represents world power, with the classic model being the Roman Catholic Church riding the temporal Western superpowers. But this model evolves depending on the age and time: as the Catholic Church gained power it infiltrated through the Jesuits every nation and religion so that the Harlot now represents Christian apostasy and false religion riding the beast of the world's superpowers. The traits of the Harlot are almost exclusively circumscribed to the Roman Catholic Church in the opulent luxury of gold and pearls and the attire of royal purple (the color of the prelates) and scarlet (the color of the cardinals). The golden cup with which she is drunk refers to the eucharistic chalice, linking the resemblance of wine with that of blood, blood of the martyrs of Jesus, which according to the RCC 'the wine truly becomes the blood of Jesus' (the only religious institution in history to gather these attributes is the catholic church). But there are other traits: she seats on seven hills---the traditional 7 hills of ancient Rome: Viminal, Quirinal, Caelian, Palatine, Aventine, Capitoline, Esquiline. She also seats by many waters: of the great capitals of the world's empires, Rome is the most prominent in this respect since the Italian peninsula situates her in the heart of the Mediterranean, the greatest body of water known to the ancients; besides Rome did more to supply water to its provinces with the revolutionary technology of the aqueducts than any other empire in the ancient world and even modern Europe for many centuries after its 'fall' in 476 CE. Rome historically ruled over many nations and languages, Europe, though a small continent is composed of many nations all speaking rather different languages--then it expanded to the colonies throughout the world, seating on the oceans of many peoples. The harlot is drunk with the blood of the saints: Rome conducted the most bloody and horrifying campaigns against what she deemed heretics, massacring raping plundering torturing without the slightest qualms---of which enterprise the Jesuits were the chief undertakers from the 15th century to this day. The woman is also described as a witch; the Greek word pharmakia designates not only witchcraft but also drugs. The Vatican seats over an ancient necropolis and St Peters Basilica over one if not the most splendid mausoleum in the city; preserved underneath are mosaics and frescos of Pluto the god of the underworld and lucifer; Vatican comes from 'Vatika' the Etruscan goddess of the dead. They have practiced necromancy throughout their history, with graves and graveyards in and attached to churches---which the Christian tradition considers unholy---with 'relics' (in fact talismans) of 'saints' (the dead) which are as revolting as foreskins and ears or bones and hair or flasks of blood. The catacombs, dark, cold and with the smell of decomposing cadavers, was an ideal environment for the incantation type Latin prayers---many secret societies and criminal mafias over the centuries and around the world would follow in her footsteps gathering in underground tunnels for meetings and rituals, as well as escape routes. The name of its most important church in Jerusalem is paradoxically named nothing more and nothing less than the Holy Sepulcher. The necromancers communicate with the dead---hence the dry blood of Gennaro became liquid when pope Francis kissed it presumably a reply from the dead person in sign of 'love' for the pope: a purported 'miracle'. It is historically known that the Catholic inquisition permitted many sorcerers to operate like 'the Raven' diviner visited by cardinal Cisneros or the sorcerer who offered the king of Spain his services and this one paying him his fee out of respect though not using his services---meanwhile the inquisition was raging in Spain; very likely due to catholic influence also many monarchs used the services of astrologers and sorcerers of all kinds. The crosses do for amulets 'that ward off evil' and then there is also the rosary. The prayers to the 'saints' are really prayers to the dead since no resurrection has yet taken place except Jesus'; the First Resurrection will take place when this world ends (I could speak more of this topic if the reader desires).
Finally, Rome is the city that reigns over the kings of the world---it was so in the past in the West, as soon as the bishop of Rome became pope and that remains the case with universal Jesuit influence.
The analogy of a harlot riding a beast is very apt for the phenomenon of insincere religions, and preeminently an apostate Christian church, unfaithful to her master Christ, that is, the clergy (who are weak by nature as a woman) skillfully pulling the strings of temporal power (a mighty monstrous beast). The feat the Catholic Church has performed for centuries, as if by a magic spell of erotic connotations, one day will fail, and the beast will turn against her and devour her, as just retribution performed by an irrational creature for her ludicrous shedding of innocent blood.
Rome is the fourth beast in the Book of Daniel and is the beast in Revelation that rises from the sea, the Mediterranean, which they called Mare Nostrum, because their empire comprehended the vastness of its coasts. The mortal wound that was healed refers to the period of the barbarian invasions; Constantine moved the capital to Constantinople and there the Roman Empire held out until 1453; when the Byzantine capital fell to the Ottomans, Rome was once more resurgent---and all its classical ideas, in philosophy, politics, art, architecture, science, were revived, even religion---which is why European cities, despite Christianization, abound with mythological idols and Roman quadrigas---'the images of jealousy' the Vatican spread like nets over the continent to catch the nations like fish.
(Because of this reason Constantinople with its Orthodox Church is also another Rome in the East---this city also seats by many waters. This splitting phenomenon also occurs with the antichrist in the papacy in Rome and Avignon.)
Because the book of Revelation links Rome with Babylon, for whom there are many oracles in the OT, we can still gather more information about the Papal Roman Empire; because Rome is the sinful city par excellence, almost all the oracles against sinful cities apply almost entirely.
As to the Antichrist, it is a figure that evolves, just like the Harlot and the Beast. For a long time it was the official pope; then it appears to have migrated to the black pope (the superior general of the Jesuits) and today, he is most likely a covert figure leading the Jesuits, ruler of the world, called 'man of sin' and 'son of destruction'. The name antichrist suggests he is the antithesis of Jesus Christ, in all his qualities. This person considers himself to be a god and performs 'wonders'.
The false churches (the harlots) have temples and do not endure constant persecution only the natural political conflicts that arise from their political agendas (their infidelity to God and fornication with the kings of the earth); the True Church is the Heavenly Jerusalem in the vision of the Woman In Birth Pangs and is persecuted solely on account of her loyalty and obedience to Christ: "Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image".
Let no one be deceived: there is a horrible persecution of Christians by Jesuits (as chief authors) taking place all over the world even as the Church has been under persecution the last 2,000 years---I have been myself tortured for 19 years since age 14 on account of my faith in Christ.

Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5! No more wickedness on earth, Psalms 37:9-11! After Armageddon the meek will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalms 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22! Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29! There will only be one government over the entire earth forever, Daniel 2:44! Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14! Soon Jesus will make sure that God's Will is done on earth as it is in heaven, will you be there to see it? John 4:22-24; John 17:3; Isaiah 42:8!
