I cannot believe that here i am in 2020 watching these incredibly ingenious old silent comedies. And loving it!
That's what "Classic" means ❤️
A huge thank you to "Lucky Dog Picturehouse" and to all others for helping to keep Buster's talent for future generations.
Thank you for your kind words, Bard! We are passionate about keeping early cinema alive today.
Gosh this dog is more talented than a number of hollyweed actors these days.
Buster, absolutely genius.
Amei esse cachorro.
That is Luke of course.
As well as the comedy, I find these outdoor shots of California 100 years ago deeply fascinating.
A lot of derricks!
And that is an authentic abandoned Adobe. A little research shows it was torn down shortly after this film
@@painin2teeth Probably the only time, almost certainly the last, it was captured on film.
The VERY talented canine was an English pit bull owned and trained by Buster`s friend and former "boss",Roscoe ''Fatty" Arbuckle. His name was Luke-he appeared in Arbuckle`s movies and also Buster`s first movie,Convict 13.Roscoe was most likely present for this movie.Buster`s leading lady,Sybil Seely, had also been in a film or two of Fatty`s(along with Keaton).
Ever since I have seen my first Buster Keaton and Roscoe Arbuckle movie, whenever someone asks me my favorite actors, I answer with "Buster Keaton and Roscoe Arbuckle", and NO ONE knows who they are -- and that is a tragedy.
I really like your profile pic. And yeah, they're great. :)
Buster Keaton is the best ever. I love him. Thank you Lucky dog productions
Everybody talks about Keaton, but let's not forget "Big" Joe Roberts, one of the meanest mugs of his day (but also apparently a super nice guy), and a fantastic foil to Keaton in almost every way. His timing with Keaton during the table scene is perfection.
I am seeing this after one hundred years .
I can't believe the timing with the food scene!!!!
I agree !! can't stop watching it !
Kendal Mintcake Thanks a lot ! Pure genius ... and completely mad! Thanks again!
All in one take for most of them! I wonder how many takes it took :)
I'ts a nice funny movie ..i like it watching from Trinidad and Tobago
Buster Keaton never disappoints! I wish they would resurrect silent movies and make new ones today. I feel like it's a missed opportunity for someone. There are so many people today in 2022 that love and appreciate silent films.
Buster Keaton was the best. This is only one of many great films he made. Somehow, I had never seen it. The dog chase had me rolling...what timing! And training, too!
Me too.... I thankfully viewed Keaton on New Zealand publc Television { we only had this one tube televised Channel. )
A child of the time 60s 70S 80S , Keaton Busted a place of appreciation into my mind.
Great concepts for the modern tiny house movement
Watching this masterpiece in 2022 and it's still AMAZING. No sex, no vulgarity, no violence, just real talent! Buster Keaton's movies always bring a huge smile to my face, they are far better than nowadays Hollywood productions! Also, I'm happy that, literally a century after these beautiful comedies were released, thank to CZcams we are able to enjoy all of them, anytime and everywhere we want to, and I hope that future generations will be able to do it as well.
Buster Keaton was extremely genius and far ahead of his time.
It's very nice to know that silent comedy lovers are still there, I am guessing even you are a silent era lover and I would love your opinions on my videos too
Yes buster Keaton in Hollywood he is first stant man really nice
This Mans Talent FAR Exceeds what actors today are even close too....
GOD BLESS YOU, TOO, LUCKY DOG. This was excellent. thank you.
There's nothing like a Buster Keaton chase.
This may already be known..the ladder climbing dog was Luke, Roscoe Arbuckle owned and trained him! A Staffordshire Terrier. He had great chase scenes in "The Cook" and "The Butcher Boy" with Arbuckle and Keaton. In those,. Luke chased Al St.John.
I love you Buster Keaton... RİP
Lots of fun, thanks for sharing. Great accompaniment!
Timeless genius! Buster Keaton will never get old.
The pianist is just a natural brilliant
Bravo Keaton. What an awesome talent he was.
That is brilliant...the live piano, the audience...even the gags that are obviously dated but spot on for the time. Genius!!
I became a fan of Buster. These speechless movies appear to be honest, genuine and talented rather than the present one How popular he would have been in his period. The outdoor shooting ,camera work, scene shots were outstanding .what a great contribution of Buster to film Industry.
Not only was he a comedian he is kina genius at technology too
Yes, Oliver Keaton is excellent, but as a musician, I must also highlight the excellent and masterful piano performance by Andrew Oliver. Congratulations and greetings from Argentina
100 years ago. Acentury. Amazing! Wow! Awesome!
Wow! The dog at 0:10:00 is freaking amazing. The way it climbed the ladder, ran on the narrow top and jump was incredible.
And you thought Ikea has small space solutions.
Ha ha....
all their own stunts, such ability .I am becoming a big fan of this guy a hundred years after this film was made.
They are not old in Comedy , this wonder was filmed in stilted time, too fast for the Takies, that changed cinema into believable fantasy.
With all the limitations of the time he took full advantage in Artistic development . So appreciate the gift to us.
This, my fine fellow friends, was the original man-cave!
I can watch Buster 27/7 ❤he was a joy to many people.Love you Buster rest in peace ❤
27/7 or 24/7?
@@cryipticcreep5586 oh l didn't notice that l mistakenly wrote 27 🤣 Well if we do have 27 hours in the day. I would watch Buster for that long as well

My God. Still fresh today. The quotes used in this film are absolutely right on point.
GOD BLESS BUSTER KEATON.
That dog does more dangerous stuff than some actors today even in the padding and wired on a damn greenscreen
This is one of his funniest.
He was incredibly fit, some of the things he could do.

@@HardikBhansali I actually don't watch many silent movies. I just really like Buster Keaton's physical comedy. It's yet to be matched, and with everything done digitally these days I doubt anyone will even try.
Oh..okay still I would like to hear your opinion on my videos too?
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for uploading might've just become my new favorite Keaton short!!!!

@12:45 - Los Angeles used to have a lot of oil wells. And those 10 feet high palm trees were 60 to 80 feet high
when I grew up in Los Angeles in the 1950s and 60s.
brilliant , why he never did a feature with Sybil , they had so much chemistry
Yeah, she was impish and his best leading lady. One of the great what if's.. . She retired from films only 2 years after this - at the ripe old age of 20!
Totally agree - there's a quality about her that I find very sexy...
She got married and pregnant.
thank heavens for Buster Keaton in the age of the orange creature, I can watch this genius and feel happy. What talent.
Virginia O'Flaherty, agreed!
LOL ! The orange genius . But you’ve got it right of course. Frightening creature who Can carelessly kill
no one is like you!
Genius.
Even the dogs were more talented then! Climbing a ladder??
Thanks for posting. Watching from European Union, Lithuania.
CLEVER KEATON,MASTER BUSTER
For action comedy...Keaton ranks 1st then only my another favourite action comedian jacky chan...Stands...
This man is the original Jackie Chan.
Very true. Jackie Chan is the present day Keaton. He also directs, edits, choreographs his own fights, etc. A complete filmmaker.
Сто лет назад)
прелесть мне понравилось.
Una eminencia
Dario Argento made the brutal version of this Keaton classic in Tenebre
Buenisimo
cant believe they had a web link at the end of a silent film before computers were invented
Me encantooo ajajaja 😍😅😅😅😅😆😆
Keaton's best.
excelente
Buster Keaton is a Genius, just like Charlie Chaplin!!!!
He is 21 making this movie. 21 OMG
When I was 21, I worked at a McDonald's, asking people, "You want lids on these?"
Well, actually he was 24 here. But he was 21 when he started in movies, and by 24 he had his own studio and was his own director. And he had tremendous success right from that moment
Comical Genius😆
Most ingenious very clever
BK always got beautiful women in his movies!
loooool
so funy

Now watch 'One Week' for the original flat-pack home!
