US electrics and boilers are wild, though fair play I couldn't imagine fixing an euro equipment that had sat in 4 foot of water.

Bring your straight edge 6" machinist rule, dial gauge with magnetic base and some assorted shim stock to align the pump to the motor so the new coupling inset does not self destruct.

You can change the water heater gas valve without opening the water. Theres a screw on the bottom and the face comes off, then theres a screw and the actual valve comes off.

I'm watching this from Europe. Is this the usual state of electrics in the USA ? 😲

In old cities like New York , Philadelphia , Chicago , St. Louis , Boston, Baltimore, Detroit and I could list another two dozen older cities. Landlords will get the last dime out of a piece of equipment & wiring before modernizing and then it’s on a triage basis . Europe didn’t really start wiring homes until the late 1920 to 1930s far behind the United States at that time. The 1904 worlds fair in St. Louis was completely electrified (the electrical contractor that wired the world’s fair “Guarantee Electric “is still in business today). So your statement would be like me looking at a 1954 MG /TD & saying “you wire your cars that way? “ 😂.

11:18 - so the wire worked itself out of the nut? All on its own? The 70v would be ghost voltage that would be invisible to a LowZ meter.

Are big boilers still preferred over 2 or 3 redundant tankless boilers in series.
I used to fix boilers at my last job and they were well due for replacement. I can’t imagine the are more then 75% efficient.

Did that hot water heater fall over or was it laid down by hand? Was it glass lined?

Water heater elements is a fun one up until you get the element that wants to be a dick head and get stuck in the tank then you're scrambling around while water is dumping out.

Do you have a video about your work, what is your specialization, where do you work, why do you work with metal, do you work with copper?
It would be interesting to hear that about you.
Of all the USA CZcamsrs, you are the best, you speak very well and politely.
    I like you very much.
