I never took lessons personally but followed your channel on youtube and watched all the videos. I had failed 3 attempts previously in Blacktown NSW because of poor instructor directions and started feeling really disappointed. Somehow I found your videos & started watching them one by one. I found Your videos were amazing and explanatory in details that after watching them, I appeared for the driving test in Silverwater NSW and followed all the rules specially explained by you along with following my new instructors directions. I feel specially your this video about Mock test in Miranda, Lane changes, Merging and Reverse Parking were so much in details and in depth, that those videos really helped me pass my test, I couldn’t be happier than this after getting my Full Licence in NSW. Hi Jimbo! Looks like the bus on the left at 34:01 was indicating right (colours in the video are not clear so I could be wrong). So i guess the potential fail item was F2, failing to give way when necessary.

As I was doing my test I was told to do a 3 point turn, and THERE YOU WERE. Parked along side the street,with a client I did the 3 point turn right infront of you successfully and that’s where I missed my one and only headcheck,but other than that passed 104/105,couldn’t have done it without you,my thanks are giving cheers jimbo,I’ll also leave my subscription even though you deserve much more than just a sub. @@thedrivingtestguynsw8424 Thanks Sir, also, if you don't mind, what are your thoughts on dash cams for P-plate drivers? I've heard that they're a good investment as apparently accidents are often blamed on provisional drivers' inexperience, which might not be the entire reason for the accident.

at 33.56 approximately their are 3 buses in a row. The first bus Jimbo passes has the right indicator on and is signalling to enter traffic. That according to the Road Users Handbook all other traffic must give way to.
Yes you are correct. I didn't get my Pz that day.
From what I recall, you see the left indicator of the bus stop flashing and then the right indicator starts flashing. it only flashes two or three times by the time you pass the bus. So arguably you do not actually have enough time or space in front of you to slow down to give way. It would actually be dangerous for you to do so with all of the traffic behind. So truth be told surely that would not be a fail?@@thedrivingtestguynsw8424
Even bus drivers have to wait to merge in to traffic when it is safe and clear to do so.
I encountered the exact same situation as 33:56 and failed my first test with scores 106/108 😅 2 days ago. I saw the bus with flashing orange lights and slowed down. It was indicating left so I decided to slowly (at40km/h) go over but when my front wheels were very close to its back the right indicator started to flash. I thought it was too late to stop and give way to the bus so didn’t stop and failed the test just before finishing it.
I had 26 hours lessons with my instructor and 8 hours practice with my husband over 3 months period but that was the first time I saw a bus setting off passengers. My bad, I lack experience on that area I should have asked questions while learning.
I think it is more like yellow/orange traffic lights. You need to make a right decision quickly and probably be prepared to stop/give way when it is safe. Giving way to the bus sounds very obvious but not that easy.
If I face the same situation again, I will probably go at 35km/h and pay extra attention.
I was lucky to fail the test as I get a chance to build more experience before driving on my own.
