    Thank you! Finally someone showing a how to on a horse that's not already perfect. This made a lot of sense.

    I'm really pleased how you broke it down for the viewers and of course you took your time with the horse. A good trainer knows how to use his tools correctly, when to correct, when to praise and when to stop the exercise. Thanks so much

    The beauty about wearing big spurs is the ability to make them roll on the belly vs jabbing them with smaller spurs. With that roll Scott is able to make the horse soften through their entire body, not just their head and neck. We never recommend big spurs however to people who do not have control over there lower leg while riding as it could cause bigger issues. Thank you for the question!

    Thank you! This was very helpful, we have been working on this for a very long time and have not gotten even close to what you have accomplished in this short time with this horse. When you initially began loping circles, the horse self corrected when he did not change in the center as he came into the turn. My horse will stay on the incorrect lead if he does not change in the middle of the circle. Any suggestions? Thank you! I admire your horsemanship!

  • @wildhorses3098
    @wildhorses3098 Před 9 lety

    So if you like soft horses and use a bitless bridle then why do you use big spurs?

    how do you keep him so slow and so calm? my horse rushes and I constantly have to fight with him to slow down whenever we canter let alone do lead changes

    • @ScottPurdum
      @ScottPurdum  Před 5 lety

      Try lifting the horse up in the process of asking for the change to try to help them use their rear end to make the change versus running off. It may take a few times but it can certainly help!

    Wtf a good rider don't need massive stirrups and he is being lazy as your not forward going in your saddle

    • @ScottPurdum
      @ScottPurdum  Před 8 lety +1

      Hi Dulcie! Thanks for your input! I believe the "stirups" of normal size and it is the spurs you are referring to? We are sorry that you do not understand what you have watched and heard in this video. If there are any questions that you have, we would be happy to answer them!
