That is whose prayers He is listening for. Those who are crushed by this world and who cry out Aba Father, He is attentive to the prayers of His children . He has been so good to me! Thank you for putting the psalms to music. God has used music to pull me back from the abyss that is this current world system and its wickedness and focus me back on the enternal hope Followers of Jesus have of living in a redeemed world with the Redeemer sitting on HIS THRONE in Jerusalem ruling in righteousness, equity , justice and TRUTH. does anyone know the version of translation they use on the Psalms?
From the FAQ section of their website (thepsalmsprojectband.com/faq):
Q: Which Bible version do you use?
A: I (Shane) use a combination of Bible translations, primarily the ESV, KJV/NKJV, and NASB, to put the lyrics together. I also study the Psalms extensively using commentaries and the original Hebrew to make sure we are capturing “the essential meaning of every verse.” I do not follow any specific translation word for word, though some songs may come somewhat close. I try to balance faithfulness to the literal text with the aesthetic quality of the song.

Weird translation. I am nothing without you. What. Keep me for in you I take refuge. “Apart from you, I have no good thing.”There is nothing good is us apart from God. The key.
only question is how is David singing of Jesus here when He wasn't born yet? Jesus isn't mentioned in this Psalm in the bible.

@@ThePsalmsProject Jesus is my Savior and I'm nothing without him. My point was Jesus isn't mentioned in the Bible in Psalm 16, but He is in the song. Just for accuracy's sake. I still love and appreciate your work.
@@notsofasst until listening and learning about these Psalms…I didn’t realize then Jesus is in the Old Testament. He is the Word. John 1:1. All the Theophanies/Christophanies in the Old Testament
