she is not a local, bahrain is an arab island country in the arab league, the woman in the video is british asian from the indian sub continent who doesn't even know the official language of the country which is arabic, she is an expat. around 55% of the people residing in the country are expats and migrant guest workers, many of whom can be seen in the old souq, I was saddened as it would have been better had they arranged a quick tour with an actual local who is an arab native and a citizen of the arab island country of bahrain for this youtube video rather than a british asian. who has no idea what she's eating, nor how to pronounce arabic letters like she pretends to at the ancient site of bahrain fort.
Indian sub-continentals and arabs are not interchangeable guys! we are culturally, linguistically, historically, and genetically closer to the people of north africa, and sub saharan africa, not the indian sub-continent which we don't share a boarder with. and peninsular arabs do not carry indian dna and when it comes to mtdna they only carry 3%, peninsular arabs are more related to arabs of north africa, and subsaharan africa!
and looks do not define ethnicity, people of different genotypes (ethnicities), can share the same phenotype, which is (how people look), guess what? jason mantzoukas and eric estrada are not asian indian sub continentals! and the huge majority of peninsular arabs are arab not asian.

@Mohammed Rashid he’s not wrong. She can’t even say Bahrain properly. I’m not Bahraini but I’m still kind of irritated, as I would love to see a real Bahraini who speaks Arabic and is actually from there, practicing the culture ... she’s British like me and that’s all I see. I’m more irritated that she’s called a native by Kara when she’s an expat.

I know Nate has got those 2 jackets but to be in all those open markets and not get something small from each country really takes dedication! Not even magnets or post cards. Should be started with post cards and mailed them home to yourselves so they have the stamp or magnets for your fridge.

except the woman in the video is not a real arab local,
bahrain is an arab island country in the arab league, the woman in the video is british asian from the indian sub continent who doesn't even know the official language of the country which is arabic, she is an expat. around 55% of the people residing in the country are expats and migrant guest workers, many of whom can be seen in the old souq, I was saddened as it would have been better had they arranged a quick tour with an actual local who is an arab native and a citizen of the arab island country of bahrain for this youtube video rather than a british asian. who has no idea what she's eating, nor how to pronounce arabic letters like she pretends to at the ancient site of bahrain fort.

What you have visited consisted of *less* *than* *a* *fraction* *of* *what* *Bahrain* *has* ; and the food you ate is more like a general version of Middle Eastern food mostly consisting of Levant cuisine in contrast to Gulf food. It would've been so much better if you explored more, knew what to eat, and if Shabbana commented more on----about Bahraini culture, history, and high tourism. Nevertheless, this was awesome and Shabbana did great!

Great vlog!! There is much more to see in Bahrain. Next time you have to visit the traditional Muharraq houses on Muharraq Island (great place for photos), eat some yummy food in Adliya district (a place where lots of the young generation in Bahrain meet up and see amazing local art displays all around), get some local handicrafts and see how they are made in Al-Jasra center, and see the national theatre and museum too!!! There is lots of contrasts between old and new. Glad you enjoyed it there!
