Hey dude! Amazing video, thank you for making this!😁
I'm looking at upgrading to Sony A7iii and I have not been able to decide between the 85 1.8 and 90 2.8 macro (I've never done macro before).
I literally didnt even know this lens existed until watching your video. Definitely going for the 85 now for portraits and then pick this up for practicing macro.
The cheapest i've seen each lens via grey import are 85 (£415), firin (£399) and 90 (£880). So I can get both lenses while also get a faster aperture for portraits and be saving money overall. Insane! Such a helpful video! I'll drop you a sub because of it!😁

If you like manual focusing, try the old school Tokina ATX 90 mm F2.5, I honestly don't think the new Tokina is any better and I only use manual focus in macro photograhpy

Not bad, I am glad someone is doing a review at all but... those test shots dont tell much. I would like to see some different sharpness tests non macro. I just want to know how sharp it is, non macro, like taking some portraits.

Hey, great video with so much sensible content, I like most of the part , at last I would say it explained every thing about this lens and so no need to go for any other video for this lens.

The problem with my Tokina 100 for Nikon is that it is not a 2.8 all the way. Is this lens the same?

All macro lenses for all camera families do this, it's a side effect of being able to focus very close.

Very good lad, if I had a Sony I would get one.. the price comparison is unreal and the quality of the images looked great ..
Well done on putting a great video together

that is a dumb comparison, that is 30mm difference... not apples to apples.
