I could not agree more... they are loony if they think this will actually have game announcements and hardware it's a business show too talk about how they can make more money going forward.. it may mention gaming but only as how their new business will be restructuring and where investors can expect the company too be going moving forward the odds of Software and hardware announcements from this are minimal and unlikely

OK I feel this time we got lost in the weeds here, this is not quite game showcase, it's a strategy meeting for Sony Group which means lots of share holders and stock people will be watching the board of directors will be there there will be lots of talk of profits and assuring their stock holders the company is still viable and there will be loads of numbers talk spread sheets and data points... the odds of new games being announced or new hardware being shown off are highly minimal in these kinds of meetings so can we stop with the whole "they must have games too show" BS? This us the equivalent of live streaming the daily board meeting, there will be loads of talking about the new company hierarchy and new upper management structure the announcements of pay raises and yes more layoffs too pay the executives more money... thus is not a games showcase or a hardware showcase it's a business showcase meant too assure the share holders and investors of Sonys viability in the market as a whole it's not just Sony Playstation that's seen a downturn but Sony TVs and services across the board has seen huge declines... the fact they are publicly streaming this means they are desperate for some time too shore up stock prices and get more business interests involved
Totoki confirmed that they will be discussing the future strategy of Playstation amongst everything else. And this is the show that grubb heard about.

He's been in charge for months now and the news for Sony seems to be getting worse. High console sales that fail to meet even an adjusted target can't continue to hide Sonys problems, even when padded.
This event seems like a good place to reassure investors by putting forward a plan to restore PS to glory and, more importantly, profitability.
If so...the question is "how?" and the recent commentary about MAUs and de-emphasising console sales, the continuing failures of Sonys 1st party exclusives to generate an acceptable RoI, the loss of Square Enix which has propped up Sonys output and the continuing success of MS as they pivot XBox away from ruinously expensive exclusives into services and features and the way they are earning money from underperforming titles all suggest that what Sony may discuss may be welcomed by investors but not necessarily by the Sony hardcore.
