- 🇬🇷KOS GREECE TRAVEL VLOG DURING AUGUST 2021 - STAYING IN LAMBI - KEFALOS DAY TRIP - ISLAND HOPPING TO NISYROS AND WE FELT AN EARTHQUAKE !🇬🇷
Myself, my son Oliver and my friend Liz decided to go to Kos island august 2021 for 4 nights.
We stayed at Altantis Hotel in Lambi which is around a 30 min flat walk away from Kos Town. We found an affordable offer for a package holiday on easyjet.com which included all inclusive however, we explored the island during the day and just ate in the hotel at night.
We booked a day trip to Nisyros island which was absolutely beautiful and only an hour boat ride away - it has an active volcano and while we were in the crater, we experienced an earthquake!
We booked a bus trip to Zia the highest village on Kos island for the evening which was breathtaking, a must if you are going to kos. We wanted to see what the other side of the island looked like and took a local bus to Kefalos which had the most amazing beaches. We were only there a few days but we made the most of our trip and absolutely loved it. I hope you enjoy watching what we got up to. Speak soon, Claire xx

My husband really wants to go here too, it’s a small island so easy to get around. We loved Zia in the mountains. Xx
We love Kos, we go atleast once a year, apart from Lockdown years! We stay in Tingaki but always travel into Kos Town and take a sunset trip up to the beautiful Zia too. Such a beautiful island 🏝 😍
Aw we’d love to go back but with my husband and other children next time and for longer. Zia was so beautiful really glad we decided to go xx

It looks lovely. I go to Turkey, it is so quiet and the private beach is across the road. Its nothing fancy. But the food is 😋. The big black boat looks like the one from the harbour in Turkey. 😁

How beautiful where blue sky meets blue sea its about 30years since I went to kos but it still looks the same.
I would love to go back again sometime, it was a lovely few days xx
We love Kos, have been going for about 10 years now on and off. Definitely recommend getting a car as there's so much to see 🥰
My husband wants to go now so I think maybe next year we’ll go x
thank you for sharing this vlog has helped me as I am traveling to Kos town in July on my own , and now getting a bit nervous as I don't like my own company and worried about what bars and restaurants to go to were I will feel comfortable

Ooh we wanted to go to the hot springs but thought as it t was august it would be too hot for us haha haven’t heard of bubble beach though… I’d love to go back and hire a car and stay longer next time xx
You were at bubble beach at agios Stefanos that stretch of beach consists of 3 or 4 beaches, volcanic bubbles come from sea floor to the surface, there is a nature reserve above zia x
Looks stunning how long is the flight over there I wouldn't mind going if its a short flight I can't do long flights due to health
From Bristol it was 3hrs I think so not too bad. Xx

That looked like such a beautiful relaxing time. That sucks that you can’t go on the beach unless you live there. Seems like a waste and such a disappointment 🌸
I think they probably meant that part of the beach is for that hotel's guests only, but still a shame if you're just walking through 🙂

Amazing vlog, very relaxing! I'm going to Kos this august and i'm wondering how is the situation with local buses? I don't want to rent a car (i fear i'm gonna get overwhelmed by driving a car there) but i want to travel around the island. Do you have any recommendations?
Hi there aw thank you i'm glad you enjoyed watching : ) The buses were great and loads of them too! If you are staying in Lambi like we were then it'll be no issue as Kos town is the hub. When we went last year it was a lot quieter than usual so this year might be more touristy but, you shoudnt have a problem with buses. Taxi was not too bad either - it costs us 50 euro from Kefalos to Lambi so from one side of the island to the other but buses were less than 5 euro - but we needed to get back in time for our bus trip up to Zia. The roads never felt super busy there, yes in Kos town but elsewhere it didnt. But im sure you will be fine with buses, look up Ktel buses (i think thats the main greek bus companies) and search buses in advance. Have an amazing time xx
