- I attend the press preview of the Andy Warhol exhibition at the Whitney Museum in New York at its new building in the meatpacking district of Manhattan. The exhibition is a major retrospective of Warhol’s entire career and is the first retrospective since the 1980s. My review of the exhibition is summarized at the end of the video. Featured in the exhibition are prints of Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Campell soup cans, and Coca-Cola bottles. The exhibition was curated by the Whitney Museum curator Donna de Salvo.
Thanks for the video. I’ll be traveling from Tennessee to the city in March to attend this exhibit, I’m beyond exited.
Great video, Jesse!
Sergio Mata Thank you!
Hmmm....yah, I get your crit
Thanks, I agree that the Warhol NY media hype can interfere with the actual artwork. When an artist's reputation is inflated like Warhol the hyperbole repels me. Warhol actively sought attention and recognized the power of the meda, so I include his smarmy selfish attention monger side into his personality.
I want to go to this museum. Thx for sharing. Enjoyed your vid! I’m part of the street food movement. Would u support me? Only if that interests u. If not no prob, wish u success & keep up the good content my, hopefully, new friend.
