I'm waiting for the Blood correction to this comment. Blood HAS been in contact with Ben, they had some tax stuff to work out at the beginning of the year.
It's true that in last year's Easy Update with Isla and Bosman driving along after the Game Awards they said he had ghosted, but that's apparently not true for all the Allies --- Bosman and Isla probably didn't ever bother to reach out.

Correction for discussion at the 40:30 mark, but really more of a reminder. Final Fantasy 7 Remake was 2 disks, an install and a play disk.
Difference being that Ps4 discs only hold 50gb each. Ps5 100gb, making rebirth 200gb

CORRECTION: 41:34, you didn't have to swap them out to continue playing the "second part of the game", but FF7 Remake came with two discs.

CORRECTION 1:14:22 you actually did travel to other worlds to chase down and purge the Root in the first Remnant as well. While it definitely looms like the sequel is expanding the level and location design, there was some wild fun stuff in the first game, once you get past the opening parts on Earth and start to dimension hop.
Correction/Clarification 2:36:56. Huber talking about Pokémon taking 3 years off. Main line Pokémon games have been 3 years apart for ever. Sword & Shield was 2019, Scarlet Violet 2022. Yes Arceus was in there but that is a spin-off title. L&R!!
Technically three years between releases is not the same as three years off.

CORRECTION: 39:15 I think Damiani got confused here. In English it was ambiguous who Sephiroth was talking about, but in Japanese Sephiroth actually names Tifa directly. Damiani seems to imply the exact opposite here by saying in Japanese Seprhitoh says "I killed her" even though he actually says "I killed Tifa." So his speculation on this being a line talking about another character doesn't really make any sense.
My own theory here is that Sephiroth is trying to pit Tifa and Cloud against each other since Tifa will be questioning Cloud's identity and now Cloud will be questioning Tifa's. Since this game has so far been much less subtle about Cloud's backstory, this change may help retain some of that element of surprise while ramping up the tension between those two characters that appeared in the original. The first Rebirth trailer also helps this theory as Tifa has the line "Wait, what are you implying? That I died? That I'm some kind of imposter." Also, weird that no one mentioned Cloud being one of the people in a black cloak. That's a pretty significant detail.
Lastly, still sad you didn't take my Armored Core corrections Blood :< Really hope you guys get someone who has played the series before next time you discuss it.
Kyle fighting back Huber on Pokemon was great. Definitely needed to hear that after they rag on the game a ton
It's a shame that we've lost every ally who was more than passively interested in them. S/V are technical disasters and should've been delayed, but I'll be damned if they aren't the most fun I've had playing the series since the DS.

it just feels more 'right' when Bosman is there, i hope he decides to come back for good one day or at least makes more appearances on the podcast, i miss Jones & Ben too but Bosman was easily the biggest loss

Scarlet and Violet are over hated, fair enough they don't run perfectly but they are far from unplayable and the story + side characters have been the most interesting since Black and White.

I got a 3DS two years ago for a road trip to Colorado with my husband and my mom, thought I was going to need it for my sanity and survival (Mom and I don't always get along so well), I think I played it once at a hotel, but in the car I was either looking out the window, talking, navigating, reading aloud for the beneficence of all, or working the CD player (yes, CD player --- a crappy little stereo, in fact, that I kept on my lap), I did not break out the 3DS.
But anyhow, Ninja Gaiden DS is excellent.

Why is everyone forgetting FF7 Remake had 2 discs? There was an install disc and a game disc. Cyberpunk also had this. I wonder if the game is truly 2 discs of play or just similar to FF7R and they are wording it differently for hype?
Its more its two ps5 discs
I think people forget because the 'data disc is only used once and you forget about it after. The 'big deal' is that it's 2 "PS5 discs" which are bigger capacity than PS4 discs. This isn't surprising to me since FF7 Remake was approaching the capacity of a PS5 disc anyway, so of course Rebirth would breach the limit.
yeah ps4 discs were capped at 50gbs, ps5 discs are double at 100gb, also with ssd's in consoles game sizes have generally gotten smaller as it's faster to reload the same fewer assets rather than storing them on the disc twice in differnt places to make it load faster in ps4 days.
As others have mentioned in the comments, the PS5 discs are different in terms of what they could hold compared to PS4. They also never marketed that the game was on two discs for Remake. They also never marketed that Remake was on 2 discs. They are this time most likely not for hype, this game doesn't need help to be hyped, but to give an idea of how big this thing is.
@@Sdcchistorianthey did arguably market the 2 discs thing for Remake. Kitase mentioned it at e3 2019 and got a wowed applause on stage.
I stopped following EZA a while ago. So it's nice to have a cameo of the old guard every now and then.

2:17:18 - To Kyle's point, my partner and I got Lasik (specifically, PRK) last August. Were both nearsighted since childhood, spend most time on PC (work and play) and enjoy VR games here and there. Can HIGHLY recommend going for a payment plan with highly reviewed doctors. Only "downside" is that we were so used to having blue light filters on our glasses, our eyes are noticeably more strained after many hours of screen-time. Blue-light glasses are far cheaper than getting real glasses though.
Love Kyle every time he's on, sad to say but Easy Allies have struggled ever since.
I remember running out of bullets in Alan Wake 1 hard mode and I had to start over since I couldn't progress and there was no melee like other similar games lol

Correction 41:30 there a some Games on Ps4 with more than one disc. FF13 on xbox had Three iirc. RDR2 and FF7Remake had also two Disc on Ps4. Also TloU 2.

I agree with huber about the switch headphone issue. I use a USB headset for the switch. Dongle goes into the dock and you should be good! I use the pulse headset from the ps5 lmao

41:32 Correction: "The last time this happened..." was freaking FF7 Remake guys, not FF13 haha. I don't know how Bloodworth also mentioned the install disc thing at 40:40 and nobody brought up FF7R pt.1 on PS4. SquareEnix has not confirmed that Rebirth won't be doing the same thing (but obviously bigger), all they said was "on 2 discs" and not how they're applied. Dump 100GB of files on the 1st disc, and leave whatever's left on the 2nd (the play disc) is an easy possibility.
If not, we may or may not be swapping discs mid-story (for nostalgic folks), but I wouldn't be surprised if this glowing "2 discs" in the trailer is purely gloating about the production values and we''ll only use that 1st disc once.

Just because kameos are a mechanic in game, I don't think that means that alternate timeline story mechanics will exist. It sounds like it's just allowing for some characters to be playable as well for kameo for online battles. I feel if they do kameos for story mode, you'll never see them use the same character.

FF7 Remake /Intermission spoilers ahead ~~~~~~
People seem to be forgetting that the party makes it out of Midgar at the end of Intermission, you see them walking way beyond Midgar. That shot at the beginning of the 7 Rebirth trailer is 100% Zack's timeline. Remember there was that huge explosion after you defeat the whispers in FF7R that was powerful enough to knock Zack down even tho he was a ways out of the City in the ending. That is almost certainly the 'twister' they were referring to in that news report more then likely.

One minor thing I hope they adjust in Rebirth is the nature of elemental weaknesses of enemies. In Remake, it was pretty clear who was weak to which element. Monsters weak to ice, flyers weak to wind, humans weak to fire, and mechs weak to lightning. Now that we're outta the city, I bet the majority of enemies will be a variety of monsters. Which would mean we should just equip ice all the time, unless the devs give monsters a more diverse range of weaknesses than before.

If anyone else has the problem Huber has with using headphones with the switch docked I just want to let everyone know I found out I can use my PlayStation gold wireless headset with it. Just plug in the USB transmitter and it works fine. Hopefully that can be a solution for some

Correction: 1:22:10 The Sand Land game was a new reveal, it wasn't teased a couple months ago. What you're confusing it with is a movie. This game is more or less a movie tie in.
