I'm thinking about applying to binghamton university for biochemistry. I'm an incoming 10th grader who is going to graduate early and is going to a school that does narrative grades and I'm on student government, and student leadership team and am also doing a huge passion project centered around community health. I'm preparing to take the PSAT in October. Have any advice on how to increase my chances of getting into a top tier suny school like binghamton? Also do you know if binghamton university has a good biochemistry program?
It sounds like you’re doing a great job! So I would just focus on keeping your grades up and doing well on your SATs
And yes bing has a good biochem program!

About to drop. So, Binghampton is my favorite college and I really really want to get in. Just wondering if someone could read this and let me know what u think. I have a 88 unweighted average and this upcoming senior year is when I am going to excel and really focus. I am joining varsity soccer and was on the team in freshman year. I was in band for 9th and 10th grade. I took one ap class in 11th grade with a 94 or so overall average but only got a 2 on the test. I am taking 3 aps senior year. I have taken Spanish every year of high school and was enrolled in a club during 11th grade. I worked every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the school year and over the summer have added on 2 more days. I am about to take the ACT and am estimated for around a 28+. I’m just wondering if it would be at all possible to get in and if someone could just b honest.
Do SUNY schools look at regents scores?
I believe your regents scores are just included in your diploma so you shouldn’t have to submit them separately
My neighbor Shay is at Binghamton this year as a sophomore she loves it there were from Rochester NY she plays soccer for the school and is majoring in Nursing she loves it

I have a 1210 sat score and a 91 unweighted gpa. Do u think I’ll get into bing?
I think it’s possible, if you have a lot of extra curriculars and a great essay that’ll help. Grades are extremely important but they’re not everything. Good luck !
I go to the same school, double major Finance and Business Analytics I transferred from community college 3.7 gpa haha my highschool gpa was prob like 3.3 3.2 i wouldn't have gotten into SOM with that. Nice video! Although I kinda wish I chose a different school, I don't like bing much whats ur thoughts on the school?

hii, bing is one of my top schools but i'm afraid they won't accept me bc i didn't take any ap classes freshman to junior year because there were no more seats available but for my senior year rn im taking ap calc ab, ap chem, ap stat, and a psychology college class. my gpa is a 102.3 (my school only calculates numerical form) & my sat is a 1440 and i have some extracurriculars. do u think the lack of ap classes will bring me down?

you're doing amazing! congrats on all your accomplishments! I think you have a great chance of getting in, APs are a plus but not a requirement so they're not heavily weighed in the process. It can be a good indicator of how you may perform in college but that's all. It's more beneficial to you time wise, but a lack there of shouldn't harm you in any way
I’m currently a junior and i’m taking my first sat in a couple of days. i have a gpa around 98 or 99 but i lack in my sat scores. i’ve been taking practice ones and the highest i’ve gotten was 1200. i played a lot of sports in all my years. do you think i’ll be able to possible get in?
Seeing as you have a high gpa and extracurriculars I think you have a good chance with that score. Obviously I can’t guarantee that, but I know that the SAT isn’t always their deciding factor.

@@mers1084 I know your junior year is basically over, but you still have a lot of time to prepare for senior year. I recommend you start on your college essay right now if you haven’t already. You’ll need a good one, if you’re planning to go to bing
