- In 2014, Christopher Vane moved to southwest Florida to be closer to his parents, and at the same time left his career in real estate because he no longer had passion for the work. He was thinking about what to do next when a new dream came to him, suddenly clear: Chris wanted to open an animal sanctuary to give a safe and happy home to animals living in less than ideal conditions. With conviction and a clear vision, Christopher got to work, and a few years later, the Little Bear Sanctuary was born.

I am 15 and I live in Scotland and I have volunteered at a donkey sanctuary for 3 years but have been going as a visitor and supporting it for 13 years and it inspires me to start my own animal sanctuary and this video just makes me want to somehow start my own sanctuary even more

I cried too, lol. Hey, how are you doing with your goal of having an animal sanctuary? I want to start a dog sanctuary but I don't know how so I'm just trying to talk to some folks with similar dreams. How are you doing, friend?
@@coryc1904 I want to run a farm sanctuary someday too. There are some websites that give tips on starting one. Hogs & Kisses farm sanctuary has an hour long video on the topic. There are also some books that get into deeper detail of everything. I’d recommend going to nearby animal sanctuaries and acting the owners whatever questions you have, or emailing them ur questions.

Go Fund Me recently put cancelled a campaign of Kyle Rittenhouse who defended himself from multiple attackers (see the video for yourself, dont trust media pls). At kesst two (maybe all 3) attackers even had criminal records.
YET Go Fund Me STILL ALLOWS THE CAMPAIGN of one of the men who chased & violently attacked him.
Video on YT shows why chased him: he peacefully put out a fire in a large bin the Rioters had lit & were about to use to damage property.

What a great story! Your mother would definitely be proud.. I have always loved animals. I made a career of helping the human animal, but recently have been interested in helping animals such as cows etc. It started with role playing a character who owned an ox. I'm googling and reading and find myself horrified and crying over bulls and cows. I don't drink milk but now I doubt I'll ever eat meat again! --yes, from a simple game. I'm a believer in if you want change, start with yourself so here I am googling how to scratch an animal sanctuary. Reading if it's possible to milk cows without taking their babies away. Cows are so sweet, caring and sensitive. Pigs are pretty smart. I don't know where to start. I've only saved birds and cats. Wondering that there is plenty I can do to make people aware of there docile sentient creatures.
:), I've been looking at how I can change people's minds on livestock, but it seems most people disassociate from it by saying something like, "but...meat" or, "mmm bacon", really minimising any stakes or relatability in the animals.

I am dreaming and pondering how I do something way smaller scale than this and if Im ready. All started from having to report animal neglect/abuse and what happens next. Animals are considered “property.”

Can you imagine the outrage if someone or some entity were cutting off dog's tails without anesthesia? And yet that is only a tiny part of the brutality billions of animals endure with factory farming and it is easy for us to look away, as someone said if slaughterhouses had glass walls the increase in the numbers of vegetarians and vegans would skyrocket. They ALL feel, pigs are more intelligent than dogs, stop the brutality of factory farms by not being a customer.
Yes let's stop factory farming. Good work. We who love and respect animals stand with you.
I have mental health issues but my goal is to start a dog sanctuary. Some people say it should be all animals because if it's just dogs the state will see me as competition? I'm down to have all kinds of animals except that my passion is large dogs, pitbulls, and dogs with bad reputations or hard lives. I want to rescue abused or neglected dogs too. But I think I should focus on big rowdy mentally ill dogs because that's my passion and I'm not even sure I should have small dogs, let alone pigs and goats etc. I want to rehabilitate dogs but some just will always be prey driven to attack farm animals.... But, do any of you guys know any advice or tips or anywhere I should look into to learn more? I don't know much at all except that I just want to spend my life helping dogs lol. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't really care about money, I just want to help dogs.

How did you start the sanctuary? I have a friend that has turned her house into a sanctuary for bunnies and other animals and I want to help her to get organized but not sure how to start. Can you help.

More and more I feel like a monster for eating meat and bacon, yet I can't stop.
I'm a vegan but I'm not a typical vegan who hates those who eat meats people from start use to eat meat so does the people of now so it's reasonable if you're eating you'll get addicted
