- Amid concerns around a serious downturn in the Indian Economy one of the challenges is India's bad loan crisis or Non Performing Assets that have stretched the banking sector. Now Union Minister @nitin gadkari has called for a one time settlement for companies that ",have a good track record and no malafide". Arguing that even the United States helped distressed industries Gadkari said this is the time to give "oxygen" to these companies to help them and the economy. "You don't snap the Oxygen when a patient is in the ICU", he said speaking on "Townhall"
Salaried common man takes great joy when they see big names like Vijay Mallya, Anil Ambani in newspaper due to NPAs. Most of the salaried class who have never worked in sales or do not know how businesses work take pleasure in seeing big business fail. They think that people became rich only due to corruption, by bribing the government and evading income tax. It is time we change this mindset and develop an entrepreneurial way of thinking. Then we will start thinking of solutions instead of pointing fingers. Jai Hind. Jai Maharastra.

3. Businesses undergo cyclic downturns.
4. Lender banks do not have managerial skills to take over stressed assets. These better be with those running it.
5. Reputed defaulter promoters are in custody as they believe in our judicial and administrative system.
6. Common man getting salary on 1st of month and saving part in bank should be considerate and should not indulge in jingoism.
7. M & A, Insolvency and Bankruptcy act is in place.
8. Who will produce steal, cement, automobiles if we clamour for revenge!.............

Ha Ha..Education Loan was a serious problem for me to in congress era, but now with lifting of Income tax cap on Education Loan, I am pushing to end my loan faster. As the more I give on education loan, the more I get tax benefits.

Gadkariji, I would appeal from all unemployed & breafless indian, that bank's are not assist laws of govt. regarding loan or finance for business, how the unemployed person would survive in country ,where your govt . implemented seven pay scale from last year , and hiked the rate of all good for sale in India , also it imposed over all jobless Indian.

Our export not increase last 4 year . Less tranparency make private investors scared. Tax terror policy make new entrepreneur less innovative. Businessmen take less risk . They reduce the production. Govt. किसी की भी हो,वो काम करती ही है।बहुत से projects इसलिये नही हो पाते क्योंकि बैंकों के पास पैसे नही होते NPA के कारण क़र्ज़ माफ़ी के कारण।Startups को loan मिलेंगे तो jobs आयेगी।इसलिये किसान क़र्ज़ माफ़ी गलत है,इससे jobs भी जाती है,economy तो खराब होती ही है।
