Used to be my old local. Started going there when it was “The Fog On The Tyne”.. I lived 9 doors up the street so used to walk there with a spring in my step and crawl home with a spinning heed! Used to have a divider in the middle…bar area with pool table and darts on one side and restaurant on the other…big luxurious chesterfields to fall asleep in! One day the painters were due to be coming in at three (back when pubs closed in the afternoon!). and me and my mate were in having a few jars…the owner came over, handed us the keys and said “lock up when the painters done…and try not to drink everything”… well, you can imagine how the rest of the day went!
@@TynesideLife I could share so many stories from The Fog on the Tyne, many not fit for the internet 🤣 Newcastle Comets and Cobras players moving in as part of Sir John Halls Sporting Club of Newcastle. Funny stories of local and not so local gangsters causing chaos, Pub borne plans to take a rib across the North sea to pick up cheap cigs and booze… was always a fun place for a pint 😜
For me,I find wherever you go the sprouts are always underdone, and I love sprouts, but I would do without them because they are never as good as home-cooked. Glad you got your extra custard.
Thanks again Eddie, sitting here on a snowy sunday drooling, sooner I get back the better. Also thanks for introducing me to that gem of a song there's no place like yem.
Looks like decent grub you can't beat a proper dinner pleased both you and Helen enjoyed it. Look forward to seeing where your next dinner review is come January.
Gutted about the match but yeah France has to be favourite to win the WC now. Glad you enjoyed your sunday lunch mate looks nice. Have you thought about covering any places doing Christmas lunch? I am going to the Astley Arms in Seaton Sluice on xmas day been before its highly recommend and they run a very slick operation.
Looks lovely Eddie and thanks for another great video 🎉 I’ve just left Nigeria on my ship and heading to Congo for a few weeks work missing the NE already 🚢
Another good video and Sunday dinner review Eddie. Like that song in the background by Kevin Grant but can't find it anywhere to download it or listen to it. Do you have somewhere where you can get it or download it ?
Wish I knew ye were in eddy, I would of popped in and met ye, me and me daughter live on a boat in the marina with our dog so we're in there all the time, in fact we watched the match in there on Saturday. Cheers, steve

Hi Eddie if your ever in South tyneside on a Sunday try out this boozer that is very legendary and worth the price and portion size. I know you have been past there on your walks with your dogs and yes it's dog friendly. 🐕🐶 Dougies tavern Blackett St, Hebburn NE31 1ST 👌🥣🍖🍗
