Egypt needs to get a handle on people harassing tourists. It’s developing a reputation for it being an unsafe place for women to travel due to catcalling and the number of scams in tourist areas. The scams even persist inside of the pyramid areas where touts will give you “free items” with the expectation that you’ll give them a large tip.
