Well you got less then 60 seconds to see this interaction you didn't see the before or the after, the kitten is more safe in our hands then on the ground, if the kitten is on the ground and runs its all over, wolves chase anything that runs from them, so the interaction had to be done like this. When my coyote first met kittens she picked one up in her mouth and tried to take off with it. Needless to say she never got time alone with any cats after that.
Uh yeah, no shit. The fuck are you doing letting your cats anywhere near a coyote!? You DO know that coyotes are some of a cat's biggest predators, right?
Is it that the majority of the time peoples pets don’t have a bad reaction to another animal in their house or do we just not see those videos getting posted? Basically is the whole neutral ground thing when introducing animals just a thing people say or is it true
From what I know, the first 15 -20 mins lupo, the one you see in this video was very concerned about what the kitten was doing in the house. He was jumping up trying to smell her *the kitten* and being very hyper I guess would be the word. But with my wife holden the kitten and petting her showing she is not to be harmed and keeping her in her hands. Helped alot this video is them meeting each other very first day. NOW if the kitten took off running he would of went after her 100% we did not set her down for the first few days, and kept her in my closet to make sure she was completely safe, now everything is fine. So I guess to now answer your question in my situation it could of gotten bad very fast, if not taken this approach, my approach is correct for every situation, its what we made work. Introducing new animals to a more grown up wolfdog is very hit or miss they will either accept it or never will. There is no middle ground, But lupo the wolf dog in the video and my wife's bond is incredibly strong so if he sees my wife accept it he will.kano our other wolf dog is still very young and has more of the hunting mentality. There is no better way to introduce them, the kitten was completely safe and unharmed, anything new to a kitten is a shock. If I would of kept the kitten away from our wolfdogs they would always think thats how its supposed to be. I have another video of them with another cat. They show zero interest in her and actually really enjoy her company. By doing the same method is this the correct method *I have no idea* but as long as the outcome is everyone is fine and they all get along I am happy
Did you notice how he reacted to the kitten hissing? He wasn't scared by any means, but it's like his brain made a connection that this small thing isn't prey, it's a fellow meat eater just like him, he looked like wanted to eat the kitten up until that point

Usually it's in separate rooms so it let's them get used to the smell of each other, then in a day see each other then letting one came over to smell the other .. that's all I was saying.. that what we used to do when I was growing up..
@@stevenumphlett6730 I think its good in theory, if they always smell something they can't get, they will make it count when they finally see the kitten, our wolfdogs where raised with another cat, so this is nothing new for them
