Just an opinion but if you're using instant fusion mostly for the predaplant engine since it will already draw a lot of attention why not swap the millennium eyes for rind worm to have an additional target for dusk dragon and mirror jade so that way you have an additional way of interruption on your opponents turn
I love seeing this sort of thing it really holds you over when waiting for the main series, seriously good content 👌 I wouldn't mind seeing you testing this deck and doing refinement on it as content I would really like to see this deck perform a few test matches before the final show down 😀
Obvs the crossout in the first hand was just for demonstration purposes but you can use crossout to banish nightmare instead of needing to use guignol to send it, which then if you’ve also banished your other expulsion target means you don’t care about belle or a bystial. List is looking nice 👍

Best way to combat that puppet special summon or on expulsion is to banish it on activation (dd crow, bystial, called by the grave)
correct me if i am wrong but in that 1s test hand where you opened dark magician isn't the cartesia the 5th summon and its effect is a quick not an on summon so opponent could activate nib on the summont and you could chain the fusion if you want but either way your board is being tributed away leaving you with just lost, branded set card and cartesia in hand. same with the second one so i don't see how these combos play around nib enough to be good
I miscounted by 1 there, instead of summoning lubellion, you’d normal cartesia and fuse with the albion for dragoon on 5
These aren’t intended to be nib-proof combos, just random test hands and solitaire
The list isn’t that different from how normal B.Despia plays, but the Keeper lines are solid and offer additional/alternative ways to play through HTs that the deck struggles with
@@RevzCards yeah i see that and you get additional interuptions dependant on hands makes the deck not just cry when they ash branded fusion.tbf at least most this deck can search instant for millieum or make dragoon early which regular despia doesn't in order to dodge nib so that is good. weird not to be running at least 1 nib when you are on 3 crossout

I’d play around more with the idea of Prosperity / Thrusts, but unsure if there’s space for any of that lol

B. Is there anywhere you have this deck list written out?

Would you prefer Gold Sarc instead of Foolish simply because you can’t proc Mercourier with Foolish. I feel like it’s a decent play going second to bait out something using Cartesia or Albaz from the search.
I think Foolish offers more value as a starter - being able to dump DM if you have a Dragoon line, Ad Lib to set up BiR, gives you the Tragedy GY eff as recursion etc. I’d rather keep merc in deck to search from Lost as an interruption/anti-Nib play and it gets sided out going 2nd anyway.
Just my thoughts though!
@@RevzCards thanks for the reply! I’ve been tinkering around and watching deck profiles and DB Grinders tech choices. One thing that’s difficult for Branded in Games 2 and 3 is siding.
One 1st place regional list has been maining Allures with 2 mercs and 2 Tragedy and Gold Sarc as part of consistency. It makes it so drawing into side cards and alleviate some consistency.
I’m currently testing it right now and if that doesn’t work maybe I’ll tinker around with your list and see results.
last combo hand i was thinking instant into ambulance search frog and tribute itself for cobra that's 3rd summon searching deployment and using it to put out dm and then using frog and set keeper for dragoon activating branded fusion and then using albaz cartesia doing the whole thing like that ends on dragoon mirorjade
Gamer! You miss out on Lost/Banishment, but Dragoon/MJade is still v strong, so hard to say which works better.
A good player would hold ash with millenium eyes on board and then ash the albion in EP, so your line is probably the safer play overall!
@@RevzCards probably i was trying to find what could be the best course of action depending on the hand with a cartesia bounce at ep we have a renewed dragoon and if no HT we got ash dragoon and sets for next turn

My favorite thing about this deck is that it actually plays Yu-Gi-Oh. No stupid milling or locking zones like certain other ones
Hey what sleeves do you use?
Having played this deck (Branded Predaplant w/ Keeper) before POTE released, one of the biggest weaknesses I noticed was going 2nd into strong set backrow. Unless you manage to put Dragoon on field before they flip their relevant backrow, Guardian Chimera is the only way for this deck to pop backrow, and that play can be shut off completely by well-timed removal, negates, or floodgates. Do you think there's value in running something like Lightning Storm in the sidedeck to better handle going 2nd into Labrynth and other backrow decks, or do you find that Evenly is enough?
You definitely need to be prepared for those matchups and have some form of backrow hate in the side, which is currently what I’m trying to account for.
Those games end up being super grindy since they typically take a minute to kill you, so based on that logic, the plan is to side in Jinzo/Expulsion & Eradicators going 2nd alongside evenly with the idea being that even if it takes a turn or 3 to setup, it’ll eventually blow them out once you’re able to pull the trigger.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if I ended up switching the eradicators for another method of backrow hate, but with things like arachnocampa & Hugin protecting sets from destruction, I’m not sure which is the correct way to go. Cyclone is great, but a 1 for 1 usually isn’t enough for those matchups.
@@RevzCards True, between Arachnocampa, Hugin, and Lord of the Heavenly Prison, destruction effects are less likely to resolve. Maybe something like Hey Trunade? It's not as good into Runick as Cosmic, but it could really be a blowout against Labrynth or Traptrix.

I know it's a stupid questions but are there cheaper options to lubellion and cartesia? I found an ogdoatic light monster that can tribute albion to special summon(kurse), obv it doesn't set banishment and is kind of a brick in hand but I may add it to my decklist but is there a kind of replacement for cartesia?
Cartesia is way to important for the deck cause of granguignol but u can dev play without lubellion saronir. you could also make the deck more towards allure of darkness adding the dark kaiju and 2 tragedy merc. in terms of replacing cartesia u might as well replace fusion deployment too. Some people before cartesia came out were playing around with mask change dark law which is worth looking at. would dev recommend doing some research on some pre cartesia deck profiles to see what they were playing around with. dodge edge imp package tho imo there are better options out there.

@@alessandrorampa5536 From my testing cards like dragoon are hella worth it or neo spacian aqua since they are 1 card that u can just search to deal woth very hard stuff going second u can just send dark magician and albaz to make lubellion then dragoon and u win vs a lot of decks so stuff like that would be worth looking into
If I have a branded lost set up and I activate branded fusion can they negate my branded fusion with their baronne?
They can respond with Baronne to attempt to negate the activation, but Branded Fusion will still resolve anyway with their Baronne negate being wasted

you can also use invader of darkness as an expulsion target against runick, book.e/chalice/lance/crossout/superpoly. its also tributable for eradicator

So what happens when they imperm/ effect vieler/ droll and lock the keeper?
You have 3x Fusion Deployment, 3x Crossout, 3x Eclipse, 3x Branded Fusion, 3x Branded Opening, 1x Called By & 1x Instant Fusion as your potential outs vs Imperm/Veiler. Example being the last test hand.
It’s no different to Aluber getting negated (minus the discard), except you can’t opening into another aluber.
Droll is a weird one - it’s not super popular right now and if u already have branded fusion, it doesn’t really do much vs the deck. You can play around it by just searching BFu if you know they have it and don’t forget Branded Opening in draw phase too

I run the Freightful engine (2/2/2) but I’d just side it for for crossout and targets (2/2/2)
I’m also running secret village, more than not (in testing) I’d always end up with dragoon or the dusk dragon… I also got mysterion cuz when Cartesia comes back, I could easily make him.
I think kashtira will deff get hit on the next ban. Since the albaz lore is still going, I don’t think Konami would want to hit the deck just yet, just so they could make more money… plus we still need a higher rarity for branded fusion.

You forgot to tribute a fusion monster for Expulsion for the FTK, you can still get game with the branded fusion as long as they don't ash it or anything, but it's not an immediate FTK

Is drawing the predaplant cobra a brick? Also, why not play Retribution?
Cobra is a brick in hand, but it doesn’t fully kill your combos as you can just search branded fusion off keeper instead if that’s your only starter
Retribution would only be worth playing with Saronir, which is 2 additional non-starters in the deck. Not worth the brick potential playing them alongside the plant engine
Yo, I just went to local with this list and I lost 1 game against grave of the super ancient organism (was a drytron deck). I think the side deck needs more ST outs for floodgates or brander beast package with more bystials
5 Swiss round, 3 of them were mirror matches which I won without problems, I lost to drytron bc of this card and lost to mathmech bc I couldn't out the arrival cyberse

So my brain has been cooking with a way to summon out DPE without Fusion Destiny. Since it is a L8 fusion and Dasher is a Level 6 dark. You can send Dasher with Grannygoogle and Celestial for a Branded Fusion. Then make DPE with Albion/Lubellion. You will have to choose between that or Mirrorjade. But both offer non-target removal so its just a choice between if you want destruction or banishing. I haven't tested anything but I excited to do so.

I would seriously reconsider putting 2 Nib at least in the side. No nib means very likely getting ftked against kashtira
Imperm/Ash typically is fine to stop them ftking & kaijus in the side achieve the same thing but work as the 6th draw too. Engine/Dragoon mops up the rest 😎

I enjoy these combo videos to see where the lines go, but holy shit that second brick hand just straight up loses to ash or imperm.
I know you’re just showing off what the deck can do, but it would be interesting to see these combo’s through actual interruptions. I was thinking for at least 1 test hand why don’t you make a mock deck of 40 cards on the Yu gi oh neuron app with 6-12 hand traps (seems to be the sweet spot for hand traps) and get it to draw a hand of 5 and you repeat these combos playing through said hand. Just to see what worst case scenario would be instead of speculating what they might have.
Or even another option could be have hand traps/interruptions that are common this format in a line face down, and before you start you flip one or two of em up and play through those
Yeah unfortunately hands like that will exist no matter what you do with branded, so all you can do is try to minimize the probability of it happening

@@ryanlambert4391 he probably said it because using instant fusion and doing your combo, time is consuming in game 3. Example, game 3 it's 2 minutes left to play that round and I have instant fusion on my hands, You already lost 1000 Life points just for using instant fusion and make your combo. At the end of your turn it's 30seconds or 1 minute left and it's your opponent turn and they can take their time just waiting on the time to call. It happens to me before when I do combos with Predaplant deck in game 3. My opponent kept asking me questions of my cards. Also,I had to ask his Yu-Gi-Oh cards what's that effect does especially game 1 and game 2 lol that causes for you to lose a lot of time due to reading and thinking your play. Rule of thumb, I need to research and read all those cards my opponent plays so I can be quicker and prepare for future tournaments match up lol
