  • “Be careful who you hang out with.”
    “Keep your circle small.”
“You are the company you keep."
"Birds of a feather flock together."
"Surround yourself with those who lift you higher."
"Show me your friends, and I'll show you your future."
    "Quality over quantity."
    "Choose your friends wisely."
"Not everyone deserves a seat at your table."
    "Your vibe attracts your tribe."
"Surround yourself with people who reflect who you want to be."
"Be with those who bring out the best in you, not the stress in you."
Yes, it’s important to have mentors, coaches, role-models and people you admire in your life. It’s important to see what’s possible. It’s important to have friends who really care about you
And yes, if you are someone who can be easily influenced, still trying to sort out who you are or does not have the ability to discern and make your own choices, this type of advice will work depending on where you are in your level consciousness.
BUT, if you are someone who is really looking to transform your limitations, expand your consciousness and live in LOVE, it’s going to be on the other side of fear. Growth comes from moving through all experiences not by avoiding them.
And from my experience, my greatest lessons have come from people who are not like me. They’ve come from lessons I’ve learned by trusting myself and others. They’ve come from interactions and conversations that both affirm AND challenge my existing or unconscious belief systems. They do NOT come from heartbreaks or betrayals-they come from looking at myself in the mirror and taking responsibility.
    No spiritual bypassing allowed.
Look, I have my kid in private school because I am intentionally sheltering her from experiences that I’m projecting. Yes, I make up excuses as to why it makes sense to pay for private school, however I am coming to the realization that I cannot shelter her from the world, from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, from heartbreak or betrayal.
Living powerfully is an inside job. If you’ve worked on knowing thyself, it doesn’t matter what your environment looks like or who’s in it. You don’t need to pretend or avoid. You can just be your truest and most authentic self…until someone else challenges it and gives you another opportunity to expand.
