We get happy because it's such a great song, and the bouncy energy of the synth riff is hype af, but then we get sad when we pay attention to the lyrics, it is what it is.
I don’t know if anyone will see this as this video is very old. But I was 7 years old watching this and this is when I fell in love with music. 11 years on and it’s still my favourite song of all time

I love at 3:41 the cello player just getting into it.
Honestly this is the best song I have ever heard, I didn't think Damon Albarn could get those vocals. He kinda was out of pitch at the beginning but he recovered. I wish they would make another album.
They were on hiatus in 2013 but they have said they do plan on making a sequel album to Plastic Beach.
