Lego City Update January 2021: Happy New Year

- Another Lego-city-update for the small independent city-state of Brickostan.

Happy new year!
And welcome to…
Brickostan!
It looks like The Rocket Brothers are celebrating new years eve with some kind of live show on the running sushi table.
One of the brothers seem very eager to donate some of his hard-earned money to this poor underdressed performer.
It’s getting hot up here.
But up here it seems pretty cold.
Down the road we find Emmet playing with his new toy - at Christmas he was very lucky and got himself a remote-controlled Christmas train.
Wish it were me.
A new district is emerging in Brickostan - and the first residents has already moved in.
It’s located in what could be a cheap end of the city - but because of the short distance to the harbour, it’s not.
They’ve also opened a new supermarket - Netto - in this part of town - and the harbour area is becoming full of life.
The station canopy has been moved temporarily - one of the big-figs kept knocking it over.
Brickostan Underground Train Transportation System - or BUTTS - has also decided to extend one of the metro lines to this area - and have already begun building the new entrances.
Thanks to new state of the art wastewater treatment, the water here is crystal clear - and it’s even safe to eat what you catch in these waters.
Some Lego employees are handing out flyers - and the banana guy seems to be buying up all the bananas available in the city.
This new district seems popular among new parents - and if you’re hungry you can always buy a hotdog or ice cream.
I don’t know what they’re up to here, but someone is digging a big hole.
Lucy is threatening a guy with a crossbow.
I hope she’s not killing him.
I also found some use for a very old Lego brick - I created some kind of birds aviary.
The piece is yellowed, broken, and deformed - but it’s also over 60 years old.
I think that’s most of the changes in the city since last time.
Oh, one small thing - the skinny girls escaped, and the prison now houses some other weird people.

Brickostan Underground Train Transportation System - it’s the only logical name for a company that runs metro trains in the city of Brickostan 😀

Your city is so full of wonderful amenities that my sigfig would like to rent an apartment in the new neighbourhood near the harbour. Happy Hogmanay (as we call New Year in Scotland 🏴).
