I have been a clinical laboratory scientist for 21 years. Though I took welding shop in high-school (Texas is awesome that way) I am not a welder by any means. The science in it is fascinating to me. I have watched just about all yalls videos in one weekend. Love it. I will never understand why pipeline welders don't earn at least twice what they do on average. Dangerous work and high skill required. Shoot son, I think I felt safer when I was in the military compared to some of the work yall do. Anyway, cheers and be safe. I enjoy the videos.
They do earn alot... 15-18$ for the rig per hour, 35-60/hr for the welding.
Definitely deserve more views just started welding school love watching all the rig welding and pipeline work hopefully I’ll be out there on the pipeline in the future and get a chance to meet you some day I’m only 20 so I know I’ve got a long way to go keep up the good work!
Thanks for showing a test....I helped on testing one day and remember this guy shows up with a fancy truck, and a BSA 650 strapped on his bed of a fancy rig....this was in 66' and he was decked out with fancy boots and western outfit, cocky....Never thought he would fail the test...and back in those days they did not have multiple spreads on the job.....this job last 3 years, off the winter...in Ohio...He drove a way quietyly, outsiders don't realize you have to qualify for every job.

Been tuning in when I started covering the Oil & Gas sector (I'm in Investment management). From what I gathered pipeline projects will be slow for the reminder of 2021 & 1H of 2022. This is due to the lack of demand (still lingering from the pandemic), overbuilt infrastructure in many regions (i.e. Permain basin), current adminstration plans of net zero 2050. So its a wait and see mode from the oil/NG producers before any major investments are made and midstream can provide a solution (if needed). Enchale ganas!

Luis old buddy grinding without ear plugs will give you a head ache especially while your hearing is still good ,,,, better to use disposable foam ear plugs otherwise the noise irritates a nerve inside your head and makes a head ache

that test isn't easy for sure.... its a cross between a weld test and an endurance test. you got it fo sho.
