@@immunity954 yea sure as her first love but he wasn’t good for her at all he supported whatever she did Bc he was a passive bf and he was so controlling and possessive to where she was scared to tell him things and scared to confront him on things (including things that had nothing to do w Jess) I love Jess and Rory too but honestly they weren’t good either Bc Jess was def a more toxic relationship Bc he literally had huge communication problems and he literally left her😭😭 but he was the only one who acc changed her for the better and encouraged her to change and improve but their relationship was rl 😬that’s why Logan>>>

I do feel bad for dean slightly but I feel he pushed Rory away by constantly being over-protective and mad at Jess for even looking at her. He didn’t give Rory space to breath and I think she wouldn’t of left him if he wasn’t controlling because she saw freedom with Jess so went with him. Also I feel Dean and Rory were only really ever friends and I didn’t see that much chemistry between them.

YES. I mean, Rory didn´t mange the situation in the best way. But their relation was already SO toxic when Jess appeared. Like, it was toxic from the beggining but it escalated. And the the whole Jess thing just made it worse.

People always say that they hate Dean because he was overreacting and possessive of Rory when his suspicions were correct. I was always team dean and the way Rory treated him was awful. He didn’t deserve to be treated like that. He treated Rory pretty good and even made a car for her. I don’t get why people don’t like him.

Oh yeah! Totally. He was constantly trying yo get notice even when she had a crush with Jess.
He was right to be upset but starting with him breaking up with her for not being ready to say I love you back he was pretty harsh and not a person generally interested in understandingher as a person. She was wrong to not break up with him the second she liked Jess more but right before Jess entered the show she was also afraid to tell Dean she'd missed Tristan while she and Dean were broken up. The fact that she was afraid of admitting a perfectly non-betrayal thing that happened - "i tried a rebound kiss then burst into tears and ran away" - is a sign of Dean being a person who was somewhat toxic, possessive, controlling, harsh.

Guys, I can't be the only one who feels incredibly sorry for dean. Everyone always talks so badly about him, but it was actually rory who ruined their relationship. Honestly if I was dean I would be so jealous of jess too. I mean Rory has had a crush on Jess since she first saw him and everyone has noticed, including dean. In the end, Rory was just using him. To make Jess jealous, or to not have to admit to herself that she has feelings for him. I just think that even though dean may not have been a perfect boyfriend at times, he didn't deserve that.
