Ukraine’s Zelensky: a new Trump presidency would be “hard work”| BBC News

- Ukraine’s President Zelensky has told the BBC that if Donald Trump becomes the next US President, dealing with the new team in the White House would be “hard work, but we are not afraid of hard work”.
In an exclusive interview, Mr Zelensky said that “nobody in the world” could push Ukraine into an unjust peace deal with Russia that meant the permanent loss of Ukrainian territory.
Mr Trump has previously suggested that he could end the war between Russia and Ukraine in 24 hours. Mr Zelensky said that the “simple way” to do that would be to push Ukraine to "pay the price" of a peace deal by giving away land to Russia, but he said his country would never accept that.
Mr Zelensky was speaking at Blenheim Palace in the UK where he joined dozens of leaders and the UK’s new prime minister Keir Starmer, to discuss how they could help support Ukraine in its war with Russia.

Zelensky is not selling anything , his country is being demolished everyday- Ukraine needs help to survive . It's not a game , millions of people have been severely impacted and the likes of Trump and Vance think they only have to say STOP and peace will suddenly arrive . Do you think Putin will stop the rebuild of his military if a ceasefire is implemented ? If Trump wins and fighting ceases for the duration of his term in office , Putin will use that time to prepare his military for the next SMO . And if Ukraine refuses to stop fighting and cede territory and Trump decides to end American support , then it's fair to say Ukraine could be weakened enough that within Trump's time in office the Russians will have strengthened its military to a point where Ukraine is overwhelmed on the battlefield so much so the entire country could fall to Moscow's army . This is when NATO will get nervous - especially Ukraine's NATO friends such as Poland and Romania , Lithuania , Latvia , Estonia and Finland . Ukrainian defeat under Trump will create high tensions in those states resulting in a conflict between EU NATO nations without isolationist US involvement .

It's ironic that Zelensky doesn't realise that everything he did up to now was at expense of the lives of ordinary Ukranian people. No matter what you think, Russia isn't going to back down because they perceive NATO presence in Ukraine as an existential threat. A real leader who thinks about his people would have opted for diplomacy - it doesn't mean surrendering. Going for a war if diplomatic action failed is fine but rejecting negotiations just because Joe Biden told him to do so was outright stupid. After all is it worth losing an entire generation to secure NATO membership?

I fee bad for ukraine but there is something that i see in the news and don't understand. The young of the country are not signing up for there armed forces and the goverment isn't pushing for full draft. If ukraines own people aren't 100% behind there goverment then why should the rest of the world.
