So this week, we wanted to give a crash course in hype. We put together what we consider to be the Top 10 best moments in Tekken 7 history.

I went to my first tournament (CEO) 2 years ago and there was a double slo-mo moment where the entire audience screamed in anticipation for like actually 10 seconds and the energy from the crowd in that moment was just the most pure, amazing and indescribable feeling I’ve ever had. Moral: go to a fighting game tournament it’s fucking insane.

Arslan Ash deserved that no.1 spot. Kudos to him for making this far.
Honestly that Knee JDCR Rev Major moment should be Nr. 1, but everyone focuses on the most recent hype moments.
@Zayed Haroon nah. prior to arslan , many players from other nations have beaten koreans before.
@Zayed Haroon anakin has done that before at tt2 when he won the dallas tournament over koreans. anakin in that dallas tournament has beaten the top tt2 players, holeman, nin(arguably the greatest steve) and knee.

@Zayed Haroon it is not true. many players from other nations have beaten koreans and won tournament over them before. anakin for example has won dallas in tt2 over nin, holeman and knee.
I’m glad the Tekken scene is thriving. It was in a slump during Tag 2, but currently it’s one of the greatest shows in e-Sports.
For me Personally, as a pakistani, Of course Arslan ash winning EVO las vegas and prostrating would be my most favorite tekken tournament moment ever and I hope he gets to make many more historical moments like that in the coming tourneys !

I respect that you're covering tekken a lot recently! it's crazy how it's still growing 3 years after release.. most games see a drop after the first year but tekken 7 is still growing
Look how many of these moments Knee appears. The undisputed GOAT ever of Tekken. It doesn't matter if he loses and a new scene or winner arises. HE ALWAYS COMES BACK, DOWNLOADS HIS OPPONENTS, ADAPTS AND WINS AGAIN. There isn't a person that lives Tekken like he does.

- Had to spent a whole day at airport ✈️
- Reached Japan 🇯🇵 in 3 days after changing a lot of flights
- Sometimes thought of giving up and not participating in tournament 💭
- Didn't get enough sleep 💤
And so much more problems 😢 (maybe we can't even thought of)

Kagemaru was the last in his team and defeated all the opposing team by himself.
Qudans's win was the last tourney that I followed religiously. My goodness, what a beautiful story, what a champion.

During SummerJam 2018 Grandfinals Jimmyjtran landed a game-winning orbital against Anakin but dropped a combo and lost that round. Then he lost the next one and lost the tournament. That was quite a spectacle.
The Tekken competitive scene is one of the most genuine and beautiful thing that I have ever witnessed… Absolutely incredible !
Tekken's getting this love is well earned and much deserved. I personally have Majin's 2018 Evo run at number 3. I've never heard a crowd so loud and hype for a game ever in my life before or after outside of Evo19 with Anakin and Arslan.

Anyway there are so many moments in tekken history but u guys really came up with an amazing top 10. I agree with the top 2 moments but personally arslan's evo japan win was more amazing than his evo america win(dominated everyone, too boring for a spectators view). Qudan's twt run was too amazing i always watch the grandfinals whenever i miss tekken vids.

lil Majin and Arslan have had my favorite Tekken moments.
I have tried watching, following and playing all sorts of (e)sports and games over the course of my life. Soccer, Table Tennis, Badminton, shooting sport, Basketball, Swimming, CSGO, Overwatch, Hearthstone, Yu-Gi-Oh etc. But nothing got me as hooked on as Tekken. It's a game everyone can buy and play and have fun with but simultaneously it is also due to the nature of fighting games extremely fun to watch as well.
Top 8 and finals often have such close matches I sometimes think they are scripted and bribed but no it is 100% real.
The pros are all very likeable persons, they proofed their passion towards the game by travelling to tourneys although the pricepool used to be unbelievably pathetic and still is compared to other game's, afaik they don't suffer from burnouts and age is not that relevant to be a pro as Knee, JDCR, Nobi etc. showed us. Some of them also stream and offer follower/subscriber matches.
The game is purely skill-based and has one of the best balancing I have seen.
The commentators are Tekken players themselves and are involved since I don't know when.
I wasn't at a tournament myself but the crowd at masters events esspecially in the US seem extremely hype. The slow-mo effect and rage system in the 7th iteration just greatly improved the watchability of the game.
And thank god Bandai Namco finally released Tekken for the PC. I would have played Tekken long before T7 if they released it for PC sooner.
The community is relatively humble and friendly. I made 4 new friends within a night of Tekken Quick Match. Whilst in OW and CSGO I had to deal with salty voice comms every 2nd match and made a new friend only every 3 months or so of actively playing.

this is the best time to play tekken because this is probably the best tekken, and the perfect time to play because it keeps growing.

We are proud of Arsalan Ash. He did amazing game. He became world's best player from a underdeveloped country where eSports doesn't considered as a proper career but rather a time pass thingy. He made everyone proud and answered all the exceptions and question being raised while keeping him self focused to eSports.
I think JimmyJTran is probably gonna be the next legendary player. He's the only one that's consistently given the Pakistani players trouble and even beat them.
