My favorite character is Cary , living two sides life , &’ still surviving through the whole thing no matter what she went through she just got powerful &’ stronger than all of em and then she made a big ass sacrifice at the end 🙅🏽♀️ loved how her wings came out finally at the end &’ embrace her brother Jonathan in her arms right before he died , she was willing to lose everything to save the world now that’s a Hero , 💁🏾♀️

Secondly I kinda feel bad for Jonathan he just wanted to be with clary I am not saying that he is an entirely good person well come on he have a demon blood in him and demon blood serves its purpose but everyone is redeemable maybe if clary could have given him a chance he could've been entirely different person. And If Klaus Mikaelson was redeemed than why couldn't Jonathan. Clary and Jonathan are bounded by blood.

Not gonna lie, the shows did improve each season. God, of only they would of taken their time, the bad acting and cringe moments slowly evolved into wow amazing potential
So much potential, like they should of taken their time and the show would of evolved incredibly, this scene alone was really well done

Jonathan's parts here in the series never moves me, this Jonathan is like a little puppy in comparison. With the books, i found myself thinking woa best villain and even wanting redemption sometimes. The last minutes of him with Clary and mom were so sad.

I love this scene, I just dont get why Jonathan got wings and black eyes all of the sudden. Like, did he already have them?
Anuroopa Taanyashenbagakumar he did, Remember, valentine experimented on Jonathan with Lilith's demon blood, and he experimented on Clary with Ithuriel's (the angel) blood. He got the Angels blood by keeping him captured for 18 years.
Basically he always had black eyes that’s how he shows his demon side and the wings laid dormant I’m guessing he had to feel emotional pain.
He was always half demon. The thing is that side was dominant and only manifested through the eyes because Clary was his anchor and she was holding him back. Now that their bond was severed along with the trauma of that for him, his darkest worst self came to form.
Yea, it’s basically like Clary and and Jonathan switched bodies, Clary was more Evil, and Jonathan was (kinda but not at all) nicer.

As much as I ship Clace, I didn’t like how Jace stabbed Clary even though it was helping her I just think it’s a little wrong
My biggest issue with this scene is how weak they made Jonathan look initially. In the books he completely wipes the floor with them. If they’d done an accurate portrayal, he would’ve laughed at the attempt they made to restrain him and would’ve recovered from his vision being blurred a lot faster making at least several moves against Jace and Alec. I get the writers are a big fan of the gang being heroes and all but the Jonathan I know and love would never look afraid in front of them. If he had said something along the lines of “Try it. I dare you” as Alec is announcing he’s sentencing him to death it would’ve been more believable. Happy they had the Jonathan and Clary crying out for each other moment as Clary is the center of Jonathan’s soul. So at least they got that right.

In read the books again, my heart breaks for Jace. This is all just my opinion. Here it goes. He is kidnapped from him mother womb raised by a man Jace thought was his Father. (Actually Valentine was a monster) only to abandon him because Valentine said Jace was to weak and therefore faked his death. Jace thought the person who raised him until the age of 10. Was his father for a long time. Jace was adopted by the Lightwoods. And besides meeting Clary, these were the best things to happen to him. He found out who Valentine really was, thought Clary was his sister. He found the truth that Clary was not his sister. Valentine told Jace he had demon blood. Because of Valentine. Was accused of being loyal to Valentine. He was put in prison in the City Of Bones. Accused of helping his father Valentine kill the silent brothers so Valentine could steal the sword so he would not have to stand trial. Valentine stabs him in the heart. He dies, Clary brings him back to life opening him up to Lilith and her mind control. After Lilith comes Sebastian who control Jace with the conection rune. They have to use heavenly fire sword to break the conection between the two. Jace now has the heavenly fire in his system. And can not touch anything with demon blood. Until the heavenly fire is out of his system. And thru all of this his love for Clary never fades. His family is there for him too. I know some people say that Jace is arrogant but he actually is not.

I mean on one hand, the fans would've rioted. Now how to explain it with in world reasons? I guess cuz Jonathan was gonna destroy everyone by opening the rift to Edom anyways, so it wouldn't have made a difference if it wasn't for Magnus closing a rift. They all would've died, so why waste time killing him personally. Also if I sprouted wings I would be dying to give them a go lol.
