I would like advice on what to do with plants that move to the cold for the winter, stop watering,....they should have their own winter biorhythm. I am in Europe where the plants are allowed to "rest" for the winter. What should I do if I convert them to hydroponics?
Great video. How do you flush out the salts from the leca, like you mentioned we have to do it after a few months.
Thank you for your question. Before potting your succulents, you first need to rinse your LECA pellets with clean water until you no longer see orange-ish particles coming off of them. Soak them in freshwater for about 30 minutes, then rinse them again for the last time. Put your LECA pellets into your container until it's 3 quarters filled. Hope this clarifies!
Can this method be used help a dehydrated succulent struggling to put out roots?
Secondly,can perlite only be used to root Succulents?

Thank you! So glad that you love our video. To answer your question, you can use other materials to grow succulents in semi-hydroponic culture. And lava rock is one way to go, it can serve as a good grow medium as this rock is porous.

Yes, just make sure they have drainage holes to prevent overwatering whenever you water your plants
