Take out SIM card and put back it. It will ask for PUK or sim pin though

Actually i came here to see how to fix my phone cuz when i turn it on the sim pin message isn’t and i turned my phone again off and turned it on but still it didn’t work. I took of the card and put it on but i didn’t work either. Idk how to fix it tho...

It is very important for data security. Because if only set the passcode/face/touchID and not turn on the sim pin, anyone can remove your sim and use your number to access your bank, social accounts, etc.

You can login to at&t on safari on a different device and once you do that you will see what type of phone you have and you may have to scroll a bit until you see puk and the number that go with it
