    Nice video. I'm watching as I sit here and paint panfish jigs.

    I always thought about making a micro Carolina rig just with a very small barrel weight. Great video!

    Appreciate you using the bead, I started using rubber beads I had for walleye bottom bouncer rigs. Not sure it makes much difference but I feel better about it lol

      I think your going some where with the rubber bread. I'll have to look into getting me some. The plastic beads tends to get beat up a lot.

      😆 🤣 😂. You can never go wrong with panfish. They bite all year long and their great eating. Pound per pound they fight hard!

    The sliding sinker I’ve only ever used large one catfishing not for pan fish I usually use the crimp style ones is the sliding better or just a preference.

    • @MidwestSkarfish
      @MidwestSkarfish  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I like the sliding method because they can pull and not feel resistance. Plus the crimping will damage your line.

      The pull on your line will be transferred directly to your rod. Also if they run towards you and the weight stays put, which it should for the most part, your rod will indicate. Just more reliable and sensitive.

      Nope. 😆 🤣 😂. They weren't biting like they should've been. But it was a great idea!

    I’d heavily note lighter leader line as well as it being floro. Setting back up after a snag is much easier if it’s just the leader and hook, cheaper also.

      True. But I've had these gills break 6 pound test like nothing. But very true.

    In your opinion does it matter what fishing pole you have? What kind of fishing pole do you have? I enjoyed watching your channel. Of course I subscribed. Thank you for the great content. Your videos are quality.

      First off I just want to say thank you for your support. And I appreciate you for joining the family. In a sense rods do matter. But I for one do not own a rod that's more then a hundred bucks. I don't have money like that lol. Having a sensitive rod dies make a difference. Do you have to have one? No. Absolutely not. Not with this method I just displayed. The sinker stay stationary while the line moves through it. Allowing you to feel every tugs the fish is doing. Now for those very light bites, that's where the sensitive rods come in to play. My acc crappie stix is very very sensitive. I can feel almost everything. From rocks to dirt to sand to grass the whole 9 yards. For the price. It's well worth it. I think I got mine for 80 dollars from Amazon. I have the 7 foot 6 inch 2 piece. I prefer 7 foot rods. Me personally I don't go any shorter.
