    Every time I listen to Justin, I am more impressed. While I have always loved dazzling displays of virtuousity, Justin expresses in fewer notes, with space, tome, feel and melody, sustaining interest and attention long after the shredders become boring and redundant.

      He sure is! I love to look at all the boots he has!! And wears um so well!! And I keep thinking he's go pull off a boot and play it! He kicks ass! I so love ❤ everything he plays And does. I found him by accident 3 or 4 days ago and it's been non stop JUSTIN every since and it's go stay that way! I'm in AWE!

      In my opinion, electric guitars get the majority their tone from their pickups and whatever amp you put them through. Tone wood really only makes a difference in acoustics.

      @@eggyboi1217 You're honestly correct. There are a few people who have done proper scientific test of this to find the only thing tone wood changes in electrics is the length of resonance. Even then it's hardly anything and the change in tone is pretty much imperceptible to the human ear

    I used to really like dirty blues. Then I saw this Justin Johnson video and realized that I’d never even heard dirty blues! This is dirty blues taken to some other dimension. It’s some of the most amazing music ever made.

    It never ceases to amaze me the things Justin can play. I got hooked on listening to him a few years ago when I saw a video of him playing a 3 string flat shovel and he was tearing it up big time! I've been a fan ever since. This guy's got some real talent no doubt.

    Fantastic! One of JJ's best videos. NONE of these "guitars" ever sounded better, than in this video. JJ adds so much "earthy", "smoky", "aching" tone to these guitar riffs that I could swear he was making sounds for a retro Quentin Tarantino movie.

    Your 9 string guitar is the reason I fell in love with my twelve string again, or now 9 string.
    I always had the problem of "too much octave string not enough normal string" when picking the lower strings with my thumb.
    So I only used it for strumming.
    When only strung with 9 strings the problem is gone, and I can enjoy it way more.

    I have to agree with another "Skateboard guitar" is very, very cool! My favorite though is the Whiskey Barrel, that's why I have one of Justin's Signature Whiskey Barrel from Big "D" Guitars.

      He can if it had a *pickup* on it probably. Honestly i don't know why people are so crazy about the wood in electric guitars, at least 90% of sound come from those pickups.

    Justin is amazing. He seems to be able to play any kind of stringed instrument. Another thing I have learned from this video is that having a magnetic pickup frees one from the constraints of acoustics and acoustic instruments. You can almost strap it to a bent broomstick with one or more tunable strings attached and get a pretty good guitar. Then all you need is talent.
