Having watched the attachment being built , I am very surprised that you don't have a " form jig "" machined to drop into the for welding the as width part then to shim as maybe different booms are of slightly different widths ?? Clamp them then weld them into place. As that is a major part of this operation. I would have that if I was doing it that many times. love watching . just don't make a good spectator
