This is your song Susan. Some people just pick the right song. This is your best song my lady.
One of the best songs and lyrics Mike Scott has ever written imho.
I pictured a rainbow
You held it in your hands
I had flashes
But you saw the plan
I wandered out in the world for years
While you just stayed in your room
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon
Hmm, you were there in the turnstiles, with the wind at your heels
You stretched for the stars and you know how it feels to reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon
I was grounded
While you filled the skies
I was dumbfounded by truth
You cut through lies
I saw the rain dirty valley
You saw Brigadoon
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
I spoke about wings
You just flew
I wondered, I guessed and I tried
You just knew
I sighed
But you swooned, I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon
with a torch in your pocket and the wind at your heels
You climbed on the ladder and you know how it feels to get too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon, hey yeah!
Unicorns and cannonballs, palaces and piers
Trumpets, towers and tenements
Wide oceans full of tears
Flags, rags ferryboats
Scimitars and scarves
Every precious dream and vision
Underneath the stars, yes, you climbed on the ladder
With the wind in your sails
You came like a comet
Blazing your trail too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon
My mom loved Celtic women.
Great song. She does it justice.
Still listening to this song in October 2023. Susan’s gets better in every song she attempts.. Wow!
I'm just a gnarly sixty something year old retired plumber. This is one of my lifetime favorite ballads. It moves me to tears. Music speaks directly to the soul.
Brillant but who is the lead singer
@@janemaher6765 That’s Susan McFadden who’s singing
I'm a 51 year old ex military, hairy arsed crane operator yet I love this music
It hits me in the heart too mate. I think it's just incredible. The lyrics are amazing
I took my roommate to see them in concert when they came to Jacksonville. She wasn't very excited because she didn't think she'd like this type of music. I remember they sang this song and I looked over at her and she was sitting there awestruck at their talent. She became a fan that night and asks if we're going every year.
Saw them in Jacksonville in 2019. Wanted to see them last year, but was disappointed when everything went down the drain with the pandemic. Here’s to hoping they’ll be back soon.
I love Celtic Woman from the first day I found them. No matter who is in the group, no matter what song they sing, I hope they continue forever.
+piplupcola You are right! They are simply great! And this is one of their "weaker" songs and still absolutely fantastic!
+piplupcola I found them yesterday, You tube has been playing them for hours and hours. Then I tuned in again today - and they are still there!!!
I like to have them as 'background music, but who can resist looking at them???? I may have to turn them off - I'm not getting any work done :-))
+piplupcola I agree, except that Máiréad Nesbitt stays. All the vocalists they've chosen through the years has always brought something of her own to the table. But I can't see Máiréad being replaced.
+Ron Foster She is a fantastic fiddler. I wonder though how she feels seeing each of the singers come and go.
If I remember correctly in an interview she said she likes working with different singers. The best part of going to a celtic woman concert is the meet and greet.
This makes the difference between a singer or musician and an artist. The kind of presenting is just unbelievable good. We need a new word for listening and looking at once.
What a joy to see and hear in this troubled world.
Absolutely love this version of a wonderful song sung by a gifted performer who is supported by an equally talented musician.
Superb!
I had only heard this version a couple of times, but now when I hear the original on the radio I stopped and listened to it and I actually enjoy it. Thank you Susan
I don't know why... but this song just makes me smile. No matter how wound up I am... or how strung, or how stressed... this song is like instant musical therapy. Simple things... they make the world go 'round.
WOW ......HOW BEAUTIFUL A SONG - MY HEART HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED BY YOUR STUNNING PERFORMANCE ALONG WITH THE ' DEMON FIDLER ' - THE GORGEOUS & TALENTED MAIRED .DON'T EVER STOP BRINGING US JOY !!!!!
You should be proud way to go enjoy watching you on TV or cell phone enjoy your shows best wishes to everyone at celtic woman really appreciate you guys thanks ! Joe
I LOVE THE PLAYFULNESS IN THE DANCING AND SINGING IN THIS SONG --- I LOVE THE WAY THAT SUSAN AND MAIREAD CATCH THE ATTENTION OF THE AUDIENCE WITH THAT WIGGLE THAT SHE AND MAIREAD DO TOGETHER ---- I LOVE THE COORDINATING BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM !!!!! I THINK THAT THIS IS SUSAN'S BEST SONG !!!!!
When I was kid I used to watch Celtic women on PBS or whatever random channel it came out on when you had basic cable 😅 this little Mexican American girl loved the Irish ☘️ still do ! 🤗✨
The lyrics of this song are so difficult to learn, but she makes it look easy.
Thank you so much.
Her singing this song feels like she's a princess in a Disney movie. pink dress and pretty blonde hair like in tangled. my favorite of the new group, always lively and genuine.
This is one of the best vocal performances, in my opinion, as it properly displays Susan McFadden's talent.
i thank the person who put this on youtube
I can't stop watching this. Both women are beautiful and talented.
Back again
Beautiful song, voice and woman. God bless Celtic Woman and Susan McFadden!
What a incredible group of talented women, this track will always be my fave 🏴💚🇨🇮
I don't know how anyone could watch this and NOT be in love with this woman.
+John Edwards Totally agree! Get in line! Haha!
+John Edwards How can anyone not be in love with ALL 4 of them. It's impossible!!!
Too contemporary, they lack a great deal of presence and pristine grace that Chloe and the others had.
Mitchy Wilson im sorry that they have their own styles and that they aren't to your liking. every singer is different in some form or another so quit trying to compare them
I'll continue to compare them, and I accept your apology, however I remain unimpressed and disappointed.
It gets even better
this version of the song, and the style as it is done, is at least a minor masterpiece. I did not even know the song before.
This is nice but you really do want to go back to the waterboys. They wrote it and they do it best. Enjoy!
@@lethiapage4767 I did wonder who wrote that. Really nice work.
Written by Scottish musician Mike Scott of the waterboys.
I truly love this group of singers, musicians, and all of the other performers in the show!!! Brilliant performances always!!! I thoroughly enjoy the show every time that I attend!!!
Those women are all A+++ I will try my best to attend a concert of them. It's a must!
Best performance of this song I’ve ever heard by two alluring, beautiful, talented women. Who can doubt the power of the female form after watching them perform this! CW are amazing whoever the current members are even though we all have our favourites.
Ong the whole of the moon she is beautiful
to see these ladies at a live concert would certainly be my biggest dream come true..breathtaking performances always
My moon, my Universe, was shot down. But she still rises, Heaven bless Her. 💖
The greatest song EVER written .
IMHO...this is one of Susan's best solo performances since she joined CW...She shines in this performance...
Got my vote.
New Zealand....Hayley Westernras song😊very beautiful💖and this young lass sings it beautifully aswell.💖
Two of the most beautiful women wearing incredibly beautiful dresses ! And the way Mairead dance's around and plays flawlessly !!! These ladies are so incredibly talented !
Mairead must be fey. As are the rest of them. Spellcasters, all.
So recently found Celtic woman, I’m really loving this band! Hoping one day I get to see Susan McFadden perform live
I ALWAYS LOVE TO WATCH THE MOVEMENTS WITH SUSAN AND MAIREAD --- THIS IS SUSAN'S BEST SONG AND I LOVE THAT CUTE LITTLE WIGGLE WITH YOU AND MAEIREAD --- BOTH OF YOU HAVE IT DOWN PAT !!!!!! I LOVE THE TIMING OF YOU IN THE CIRCLE AND MAIREAD SPINNING AT THE SAME TIME AND MOVEMENTS !!!!!!
Beautiful voice and performance 👏👏👏. The song brings the meaningful messages about how wonderful of knowledge and the melody made me smile and dance with it.
Lovely song Susan and congratulations on your new baby.
No matter who is performing it, this song is epic.
This song tells a lot of us. I hope you still remember those days.😀
Great song, great cover, love the hip move at 2.10 from the violin player. Gives music that extra lively vibe. Speaking without words
Susan McFadden and Máiréad Nesbitt are the best duet of violinist and singer!
¡Qué bella canción!, los arreglos musicales son gloriosos, inefables, majestuosos. Talento puro, música de ángeles para mis oídos.
Fabulous performance by Susan and Mairead.
I remember watching this on my grandma's TV when I first started violin and I was absolutely in awe. When I was doubting my abilities as a musician, Mairead inspired me to keep playing. I've now been at it for 6 years and music is my passion. I can't express my gratitude to CW for helping me to stick with it.
To me they just keep getting better. Keep up with the great performance's.
The music alone is fantastic with O'Neill playing bass then add Susan's voice. Wow
I love how by the end Mairead seems to say: yeah, gurl, we nailed it cuz we're good.
Absolutely Beautiful ! Artistically stunning!
The show must go on , everyone so amazing work out. 😮
I have just discovered CW's version of one of my favorite songs. Amazing !! I love Susan's voice and interpretation. That goes for the others as well . Totally beautiful version !!
Great voice. Super Celtic women's
This was such a fun song, love Celtic woman!
Thank you Ireland ! For making those that could make such a song ! True love.
Thank you Ireland ! For making those that could make such a song ! True love.
+Sonny Moon ___To me this shows how very important are the words to every part of a composition. Thank you again !
+Sonny Moon ____ I'll likely watch this 100 times just to feel it over and over. And each day more will be gained from it. That is truly the magic of music and Ireland that seems its world capital and cradle of love and family to come up with this and what they've done before.
Playing a violin, dancing, and twirling, all while wearing high heels. Amazing.
Beautiful, talented,Irish girls. The epitome of love and life.
What an amazing gift, music, God given to these beautiful young ladies. Thank you.
this is a very beautiful song and i love the way she sings it
Fantastic performances. A combination of good music and dance with graceful movements. Keep it up. Strength.

I have never enjoyed a couple of hours as much as I did seeing them in San Antonio, TX this last month. What a great group. Love the music/performances.
I missed their concert in my home town of Reno by a week because I was moving back home a week after they performed here
Beautiful girl, beautiful voice, tons of personality from all involved. Can't ask for more except I'm glad there is more.
This was such a fun song, love Celtic woman!
Love Celtic Woman
Time surely flies. Some day this might be considered an oldie but goodie
OMG! I need to see these women in concert!

Celtic Woman, I have a few words to say....You leave me breathless”. Robert In California.
Great cover.
Oh my God, what an emotion! How can there be so much beauty. This is wonderful, suprasensible!
Just beautiful
Susan's best song for Celtic Woman. The original was good but I love this so much.
This song reminds me at probably one of the best moments in my life. Always relationed this song with the waterboys. To be honest, this version sounds a lot better than the original one. Also the performance in those days was fantastic but for later performances of the waterboys, I prefere 10 times more this version of the song. Well done ladies...
Different strokes for different folks I suppose. This is wishywashy compared to The Waterboys original.
Lovely ladies
This song is so Susan, she truly is a fairy
Beautiful! Inspirational! Thank you my Celtic Sisters!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😉❤️
She's my most wonderful Princess. I love this song. I am feeling as a child when I hear this song. Beautifull voice.
Pure class. Music of the Irish Angels.
One of the best performances ever
Any song the share with us is always amazing there just amazing and there voices are incredible love it Celtic woman
Do enjoy their music So beautiful and relaxing.
Fantastic; a bit of a change of pace from the last time I watched anything on them. Meiread is a show by herself. I would like to see a show live before she retires or moves on.
Such a f*cking great song written by The Waterboys
and great Covers by Sally Barker in The Voice, Fiona Apple
and now I'm here by the Celtic Woman.
I really love this song in all versions.
