Beautiful painting! I just love her work! I’m doing Call Of The Sea by JWall from DPD! I got a bunch of harbor freight containers and use those for my 225 colors! They are cheap but I like that I can just open the lid and pull drills right out without having to use a tray because it’s wide enough. The painting is so confetti heavy that I don’t need to be pouring them into trays all the time unless I see it’s a color that I’m gonna need a lot in that section. Looking forward to your tray comparison! As for steel tips- so far I like my thin plastic ones better! I can feel what I’m picking up better.
That’s a great idea - opening and closing and pouring drills is probably half of my dp time! 😂
My favorite trays are the little white one and the large white one from Spell Queen. Last year I really enjoyed Drills & Chills. You don’t have to do scary paintings. There are some really cute fall paintings on some budget friendly sites.
I'm still debating Drills 'n Chills - I have some smaller paintings I could probably use, but we'll see. I considered buying a cute Randall Spangler dragon dp that is Halloween themed, but I'm trying not to buy anything new for a few weeks!
