I wanna see a full poker table of magicians trying to cheat eachother out. That would be one very entertaining game of poker.
Well said! haha Id watch!
That’s actually a pretty brilliant and original idea! I’m surprised it hasn’t been done yet
everyone would have perfect hands and even each other out xD 20 Aces
Penn and Teller had a show kinda like that lol
Id watch that on pay per view.
Year 2050: still waiting for Jamie to actually zoom in when he does the trick
Fr Jamie blew his load on this one
They had it but didn't want to show it
Its just a double lift, hard as fuck to get but once you do its magic 😂
Then it won't be invisible
😂
You can tell this guy absolutely LOVES what he does. It always makes my soul happy seeing people do exactly what they were born to do...
Everyone is doing exactly what they are supposed to do ultimately
Your mother
Most magicians make deals w the devil, I think his soul belongs to someone else
Hes amazing at what he does, much less amazing at allowing others to finish their sentence though 🤣
it's called acting
I love how David always seems to talk respectfully and passionately about the skills of other people that influence and inspire him.
Three 4K cameras in the studio and Jamie managed to miss every single time David performed this trick for Joe and for the cameras (he did it multiple times upon request). God dammit, Jamie, this is literally one of those "you had one job" things.
The answer is he picks up 2 cards and shows you the bottom one. Then sets the cards on top of the deck and lifts the top card making it seem like it changed. The first card he shows you is actually the 2nd card.
@@QargZer The move is called the "double lift". It's hands down the most used move in all of card magic. It's probably the first move any beginner learns while also being a move that even the most experienced professional will use throughout their routine. The most famous use of this technique is in a trick called "The Ambitious Card".
@@xtraspecialjcan u guys stfu and stop giving shit sway? It ruins the fun of it entirely
I would say, that was hands down the most invisible card trick ever! 👏
Especially when the camera doesnt show you the card trick. Lol
Go buy ANY magic book on card tricks- it will be the first or second trick in the book. It's day-one stuff. It's called a 'double lift'- you simply lift two cards with your thumb. I was doing that trick at 12 years old fooling my friends. One of the easiest card tricks in magic- look it up.
For real! I literally couldn’t see anything!
the real magic is how Blaine froze Jamie from filming his hands!
You wont ever see it but it did happen
Pretty lame they are going for click-bait.
That closed up of his hands when doing that was amazing. Christ.
He probably got the shot but just didn’t show it out of David’s respect
@@tyfi5982
It’s a basic move, that there are videos on.
One can pay for these tricks, from cards to big illusions.
Some guys are just decent at the craft, but are amazing performers, who have a guy, or even teams to build their shows, based on illusions he paid someone for.
That card trick is one of the first things one learns, with card tricks, after other sleight of hand dexterity things, like the which hand is the coin in trick.
The internet, and availability of how so many things are done, eventually ended Criss Angel’s tv career, and trying get into that level of showbusiness, because his stuff got revealed, and some people he did wrong, outed him for his tv show illusions, just being paid actors.
He didn’t do anything at all in some of them, except act like something was happening.
He recovered and got some weirder stuff, and just went with it, ignoring having his stuff revealed, snd now he’s still got a residency, and I hardly even hear about him.
But he agreed to do it for the camera @@tyfi5982
It's truly invisible. It's not literal magic. He takes 2 cards. It's called a double lift. Look it up and then be less amazed. Sorry to spill the beans.
@@Mat-hx1btexactly. Standard stuff actually.
So cool seeing a full grown men, so indulged in learning his craft, telling stories about the mentorship...
Whenever David Blaine reaches for a sip of water I get nervous.
"You think that's water you're drinking?..."
Very wise guy, not only his magic but his words. Also when he says “in a little” its because his magic is recharging.
He ran out of Mana doing ti so many times before so he had to wait a min
Yeah he had to regen.
No he was just trying to move on and then hopefully not have to do it later. He doesn’t want it on camera just like any other street level guy doesn’t want it on camera. That’s why they didn’t show it. Guarantee he told Joe to take out that camera angle for the show after all was filmed. Joe clearly wants the guy to come on his show and give up all his secrets while forgetting that this is his whole career and livelihood.
@@kalebanth8323 jokes am i right
@@kalebanth8323the answer to how he does it. He is lifting two cards and showing you the bottom card. When he sets the cards back on top he then lifts 1 card.
So the card he shows you is the 2nd card not the first
Jaime absolutely fumbling the bag with the camera 😂
That bothered the hell out of me I wanted to to see the trick
Na if you think a David didn’t make him keep that out of frame you’re tripping.
@@adreyuu7548 does it at the beginning, just pull the clip back 🤡
Him talking about his passion with such joy is truly inspirational
The trick he did takes 1 minute to learn and hundreds of hours to do perfectly ,every time
Very true. I still fuck up the double lift sometimes and I've been doing it since I was 15.
You mean thousands. Double lift is the first move I learned, made tons of routines and tricks around it, performed mentalism and close up magic on and off the stage and i still think Im not doing it right. I mean, it's second in nature now, but i know there's a lot of things to improve in my DL.
I guess the best way to explain magic to joe is it's like jiu jitsu. There's no real perfect mastery to it, it's just a bunch of principles and ideas and it's up to you how much you can master it. It's continuous learning and connecting with better people improves your craft. Just like how rolling with new people in BJJ helps you widen your horizon
The best is when you do a two card monte then sneak in a duplicate card and really blow their mind
@@Sincity89103 triple lift for that one hahah!
It's fun to watch him talk about it, because he gets so giddy. You can see just how much he loves it.
2:47 this camera timing was worldstar fight level
David "It's Just a Move" Blaine
Grew up watching his street magic special, he’s a special cat. Most of his tricks are just tricks but the dedication this man has for his talent is something we should all inspire to have!
It was so invisible that even Jamie missed it.
If you wanna see how it's done look up double lift
Yeah you still wouldn't see it even if the camera was zoomed perfectly
Only joe can get David Blaine and Elon in one week
It’s great how giddy he is about performing magic, can tell he loves what he does.
6:06 David sounded like he’s persuading you to take drugs here. 😂👍
😂
I love the wide shot of them sitting at the table. I'm obsessed with how small little Joe is 😂😂
It’s was invisible alright. I didn’t see shit.
He was doing a double lift in the first trick. I love that one
One of the greats, love hearing David talk about magic ✨
Joe just happy he dont gotta shove an ice pick through his arm again.
he ends up pulling a string out of his chest and neck on this podcast
Joe you need to hire me so your camera angles never fail.
Joe Rogan has the best line of guests. It keeps me coming back. 2
Decades of dedication to one thing while youre starving waiting tables i REALLY Z respect these guys !! 😊
I enjoy how much it annoys Joe that he can’t figure out how David is doing these tricks, I think Blaine enjoys it too😅😂
I went through a magic phase as a kid and people like Joe were the worst. Doing a trick (or move) more than once for someone basically ruins some of its effect even if they still can't figure out how it's done exactly. I imagine that's likely the reason why David Blaine was apprehensive about repeating the demonstration for Joe.
I totally get it if someone is impressed and genuinely curious about how something seemingly impossible works but unless the magician or performer is specifically offering to teach you something you should never pester them about it afterwards. Best thing to do if you're actually interested in learning is to ask him/her to teach you a different trick you can do for your own friends/family.
Totally worth watching. Listening to David always is amazing 🎉❤
Camera awkwardly zooming to show close up of his hands and card, was kinda funny😂😂😂
"it's just a move" lol
Just love David Blaine. Anytime I see a new db video I get so excited!
Loved his street magic shows.
Years back I obtained a book by David that showed a number of tricks with a deck of cards, among all of the other skills that magicians perform. I was mastering each one, but they began to become harder and harder. Too hard, in fact. You appreciate how hard David works to master his illusions. I figured that for me to master those tricks that I got stuck on would take thousands of hours of practice for me to do one or two of his more complex illusions. I cannot do slight of hands. The greats can move around cards so quickly and technically that you don’t see that the card he just put in the middle of the deck he had done a slight of hands and he actually put the card on top. But, there is no way to see this.
You can tell how much he loves what he's doing...he's great at it and successful with it. Well deserved!
David is channeling Djinn.. trust me he made the deal with it.
Richard Turner @richardturner the GREATEST card mechanic, period.
When blaine said “its just a move” i knew it wasn’t “just a move” lmfaoo
One of my favorite things about magicians and illusionists is that they ALWAYS have a pack of playing cards on them at all times lol ❤ it’s prolly a trick deck but still cool
Love the jazzing about magic, great words by David
His "just a move" was so fast...
His hands turned invisible...
This really was the Invisible card trick....I never even saw it.
JRE cannot afford a better camera man.
I love the part where Jamie zooms in and reveals David's trick..
Every time he cuts the deck to shuffle, he shows an ace. A different ace each time. Wizard.
Nice shot on the cards while Davin was showing us how to donit
there's a couple of youtubers that can do this stuff, it really is incredible.
I have never once looked up how a trick was done or watched the masked magician revelaing magic back in the day. Its nice to have some mystery in life
hahaha "I'll show you the move that's invisible"
They should add a top down camera angle view of both speakers for moments like this
it must be invisible, i didn't see any trick performed here.
“Babe you only lasted 2 seconds, how is that even possible?”
“It’s just a move.”
2:50 all that and you still never got a clean shot of his hands lol
Joe was like a big ass kid with the “ why not do it now” “why later” lmao and Blaine giving in like fine I’ll do it now Shìt was funny
"It's just a move"
David "It's Just A Move" Blaine.
I concur that the card trick was, in fact, completely invisible. Mind-blowing stuff.
Part of the illusions are in what he says. There’s no rule that says he can’t lie. For example: ‘I never use a trick deck’ is a lie but once you hear it you don’t look for answers using a trick deck. You try to figure out how he’s doing a card trick with a regular deck. He’s not. On his specials he will say ‘ I don’t use camera tricks’ so you stop looking for them. Hint : he does.
Chris Angel does the same thing. Footage of lots of actors saying ‘there no crane or anything’ later on you will think you saw above his head in the shot and saw for yourself a levitation without a giant crane above his head. But you didn’t see that.
Dont you dare compare Angel to Blaine
Wow. That was 8 minutes of Blaine talking about doing something we never saw.
Jamie, get on those camera switches!!!! Damn son
Invisible move yeah, we couldn’t see shit because off camera…
He's the modern-day Houdini. People 100 years from now will look at him like people look at Houdini today. The latter has been dead since 1926 but is still a popular household name. Think about it.
Nah. He’s not even as good as Cris Angel
@@paleo704you are trolling lol
MINDFREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAK!@@paleo704
@@paleo704Criss Angel is the worst
So this is the guy oleg was referring to when he opened Max zipper. Now it make sense😅😅
The way they cut it off gawd
what...no frog? LOL
The thing is about Denzel Washington is his way of acting seems very very real
That show where he lifted off the sidewalk, freaked out those 3 young women, that was an awesome visual
Thanks Joe for bringing on David!!!👏👏 he by far as one of the BEST guests of all time on your show or anyone’s show 🙏🙏 I saw his other appearance on your show years ago. And he’s so nice to everyone, very respectful
AGREE!!!
I like David’s vanishing act the best… brrrrrtt tttttt
His friend he talking about is a demon 😅 fr
What an incredible individual
Im glad david blaine found someyhing he loved and kept doing it..
I was 4 years old when I realized my family was being spied on 24 7
So when are we going to do a "everything goes" poker tournament?
IT'S JUST A MOOOVE
Listening to david is lowkey inspirational. I feel like i need to go learn something new
Chris angel was waiting outside Rogans office the whole time.. by waiting i mean he was floating by the window
The double lift, first thing I ever learned
cool, now repeat it some 300 milllion time. and some more
Damn bro... Just giving away the name like that huh?
Let people do the searching on their own. Someone that really wants to find the answers and is truly into becoming a magician will find them.
No need to just dish it out.
@@tofuguru941 You talking like its some secret xddd
Ppl lose their minds watching him lift 2 cards at once. 😂
Exactly my though. How do people not understand what a double lift is
The point is that if you have the dexterity to do it perfectly, the move in entirely undetectable. If you know how the trick is done, sure. But you could never see it.
Ask him to show us the move 😂
The sleight of hand card shit is my favorite
Oh. It’s just a move. Got it! That explains it! Mind un-boggled.
Thanks for getting Blaine to do slide of had. I have studied his move’s since I was a kid. Love that guy
sleight of hand*
@@juliantoocoldit was David Blaine... he replaced the word sleight with slide and nobody noticed.
I always thought he was so awkward, but he seems so normal here! Incredible guy
Thanks for showing us...
David made a deal
best alpha brain add ever
In case you didn't know, you can pause the video, and hit the ". >" button to go frame by frame.
This man crushes hot peppers.
WOW! That trick was sooooooooo invisible, that I didn't even see it. The camera didn't see it either.
that move is called a "double lift". The most basic magician card move.
yeah, David just has very good muscle memory with this and even to someone without much knowledge of sleight of hand, it can still look quite effective.
At least we now know Young Jamies' weakness is camera work
He makes his own cards
I learned the double lift once I saw David Blaine for the first time, in his origional man on the street video
It;s a great first move to learn. Extremely versatile.
@slowmoguys should do a video with david blaine
This is the guy who sat in an ice cube
I won’t say what it was but David was doing the all time most simple trick ever for Joe too that’s what’s so funny Lmao.. and yes it’s entirely Invisible if done correctly
