  • I checked the Voigtlander Vito B cameras I have in my collection and found they show a good variety of shutter and lens combinations.

I prefer the performance of the f3.5 lens, over the f2.8, but both the models I have are a joy to use.

Thanks for the interesting video. It really explained a lot to me. Yesterday at a camera store, I picked up a near mint Vito BL. It is the same as the B but also has a light meter. Wonders of wonders the light meter works along with the shutter. The delay release seems to hang up though, but how often do you use it? Just shot my first roll today and will be developing it tonight. The store also had a Vito B. I traded an old lens for the Vito BL. The camera store said the camera wasn't working. Well, they didn't realize that the Voightlander Vito series cameras have to have film in them to work. I am going through my boxes of junk camera equipment to see what I can dig up to trade for the Vito B. It also looks like it is mint condition. Fun times ahead!

I notice that some have completely separate shutter and aperture control rings, while others have them semi-coupled in Exposure Value mode.

Hello, I have a vitomatic 2, and sometimes it happens, that I can not press down the shutter (it's like the film is blocked or something like that.) I've tried winding up to a new picture but it still doesn't click down.
Do you have any idea why?

Very probably that camera just needs to be stripped down and serviced. The fact that it sometimes does work suggests that nothing is actually broken. I do not have any recent experience with this model, sorry.

good evening, I cannot manage to fire the shutter, I've got the prontor svs version, film is in, I can cock the shutter, deoress the release but nothing happens. I've tried V, X and M and I've checked whether it was firing while winding as someone suggested but nothing haooens. Have you got any idea?
    Thanks!

It'll need servicing then. They are normal symptoms of a shutter needing a CLA.

@@ChrisSherlock The Vito BL I just picked up wasn't working at first. It was stuck on delay shutter release. I pushed the lever back to "X" from "V" and it works great now.
