  • DEANO TEST FLEW LEES LATEST TOY DOWN THE PATCH,
SHE IS A DAVID BODDINGTON PLAN BUILT MODEL POWERED BY A ZENOAH 38cc PETROL / GAS ENGINE,
THE FIRST LANDING WAS FAST DUE TO LACK OF ELEVATOR AUTHORITY SO HE KEPT THE AIRSPEED UP,
THEY DIALED IN MORE ELEVATOR TRAVEL BUT THIS WAS STILL NOT ENOUGH (NOSE HEAVY) AND ON THE SECOND LANDING SHE RAN OUT OF ELEVATOR STICK AND JUST DIDN'T QUITE FLARE ENOUGH AND THE HARD LANDING SHEARED THE AXLE AND COLLAPSED THE CHEAP SOFT ALLOY OLEO LEG CAUSING HER TO CART WHEEL SHEARING THE WING BOLTS,
NOT MUCH DAMAGE DONE REALLY !

Nice model! My next build is gonna be a Boulton Paul Defiant so that would be fun!

very impressive bombing round but when it came to the tricky stuff that he hadn't practiced up high then his true ability shone
just my opinion but next time get her up high and do some stall tests you can't land fighters by blipping the throttle the tail will jump up and down due to airflow changes

I own a Scale Hurricane, lovely flyer , but can be a bit twitchy , on landings ,I've mastered mine now after about 5 Years, remember landings are controlled crashes .

Sweet flyin' skills, bro!...its a shame about the landin', though.
Here's the thing: those steep glide slopes on final approach will ALWAYS make me sweat until I can pull it off like you guys.
    Thanks for the demo!

Well, that sucks. A nice looking build of a beautiful warbird. Sorry about the result of the durability test.
I'm glad to hear she will live to fly again without undergoing major surgery.
    Thanks for sharing guys
    Cheers, Bob

sold her? what a shame! didn't seem to have any nasty habits, just a little work to do for the landings.

I was gutted when it crashed on landing.
I'm building a 1/32 static model of a Hurricane 11b at the moment and now want to fit an engine to it and fly the bloody thing!

Beautiful model, sorry about the mishap, crosswind landings are tough to deal with. At least it looks quite repairable. anyone make a laser cut part set for the model?/

Should use a remote electric starter won't have to fuss with the touching the profit all just press the button on your transmitter and the engine will start little over $100 easy to install

The in flight audio/visual/speed was nice. Looked like it had a power to weight ratio that put it in a think ahead category. It also looked like it flew a little off for some reason. At first I saw thrust-line but that's a hard one to dial in with high p factor models. Then I saw the tip stall and thought lateral balance maybe? Then coming in for landing it looked tad tail heavy. What was the issue? Sure disassembled easy, lol.

I believe the wind was not good enough quality for a war bird, it was thing and lacked motivation.
Great looking aircraft, shame about the crash landing, hope repaired now, update would be nice.
Remember, try not to crash that's what I do. hitting things (including the ground) nearly always causes a crash so avoid doing that.
A good pilot always knows what he had for breakfast, good advice given to me by Alan Cook in 1978, god bless you Alan, taken too soon (he died in June 1981 after his hair caught fire while he was driving to Nottingham on the M1) RIP my friend, I still have your hat, gloves and boots, happy days.
Sandra married Steve, they have 3 great children, you would probably like 2 of them, Zanmod is almost 30 now and Slashi 28.. the other one Colin is a bit of a twat and is almost 35, works at LGS as a door monitor.
