The movie is based on the third book in the Vampire Hunter D series by Hideyuki Kikuchi. It's another one of my favourites :) If you enjoyed the movie, you should definitely go check it out!
I keep having memory problems with Windows Live Movie Maker, but I hope that you will like it, despite the lack of editing and such. Also, I'm sorry for the quality of the sound, as I had problems finding the song (hopefully it's not that noticeable)...

Seriously one of the coolest and most stylish anime ever made. Moonlight Shadow feels like it was written for it.
This song and the way it was set up actually made me watch the Movies :)

I remembered watching this Music video when I was a Teen in High school. The Movie is very Sad Romantic. The Vampire fell in Love with a Woman who is from a very Rich Family.

川尻善昭監督のアニメは美しい。ちょっと昔の作品だが､今見ても遜色が無い。自分としては珍しく、映画館で二度も観てしまった。客は僕ともう一組ぐらいしかいなかったけど。原作は僕が中学生の頃に出されて楽しく読んでいたが、35年以上経った今でもまだ続いている。最近は読んでいないがいつまで続くのだろう。このアニメでＤ役をした塩沢兼人さんが亡くなっていた事を最近知った。落ち着いた声で格好良かった。ご冥福をお祈りします。

If I hear correctly, the music is Missing Hearts cover of Mike Oldfields classic "Moonlight Shadow" (sung by Lyane Leigh known from E-Rotic). Did you make a new cut from the old version on youtube? Anyway, thanks for uploading a high-rez version!
I'm not actually sure about the music anymore - I had quite alot of trouble finding a version that I liked, but ended up going for the one that was in the old video. However, I don't feel too happy about the quality of the sound as it seems like there's a weird 'sandy' noise... Oh well... I bought the song on iTunes, and I made the video by using fraps to record segments from the Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust DVD and putting them together in Windows Live Movie Maker - just like I do with all my other videos :) I hope it doesn't seem like I have copied the music video? I know that there are a few similarities but I tried putting it together in a way that I liked it :)

No worries: Most people don't get it right. At least you tried. I'm pretty sure that it is from the Missing Heart version. But there are a lot of covers of it, not to mention remixes of the covers. Still, if you search for missing heart and moonlight shadow, I think you are going to find the origin of this cover. Regarding the video, there are similar videos out there, but after watching yours, it is quite obvious that you made your own cut. I like it, and thanks for sharing it with the world!
