Here is my final run of the Red Bull Valparaiso Cerro Abajo 2019 edition. I finish 5th, 3s behind the win.
To be honest I'm happy with how I rode. In control and smooth all week end. Made some little mistakes here and there and felt I could have pedal harder that day but I was just not willing to take the risk to go faster after seeing some gnarly crashes.
Pretty stoked still to be on pace despite being on the DH bike ! Stoked for next year ? Maybe on the trail bike this time ?

I thought this course was amazing, it literally went through houses and on roofs
it isn't as hard as you think, you just need to be creative, of course the ramps are measured accurately so that requires some work

@@jaydenhughes408 nah we dont "wobble" in purpose. Wobbling isn't a technique but an "effect". Downhill mountain bikes have tougher small torque gearing range and we can still catch up with the rear hub's rpm and pedal in average speeds.
The wobble is caused by him pedalling aggressively as stated by the guy from above by exerting mass amount of pressure and momentum from his hips to foot to pedals. Its not much but I'd say it gave him some advantage by an inch or so rather than sitting on the low saddle and pedalling like a neanderthal.

Yes, it's outstanding the performance and amount of effort.
What is more impressive is the DESIGN and planning of the course. That is beyond words. Took a lot of effort putting all those ramps and paths together into a one coherent track.

Ok, I am officially in love with Chile now.
The thing that astonishes me the most isn't even the ramps. it's the stairs. He knows which stairs he has to take cautiously and which ones he can full send. He knows what speed he's going at so he doesn't catapult himself into the pavement from a poor landing. This guy probably knows the stairs in the city better than some of the people living there. It's insane.
..And how's about that sequence of narrow steps with landings, with the bannister to the left - taking air every couple of seconds. Very easy to start bumping out-of-control, fly a little off-course and catch the bannister with your handlebar as you land - top-speed-wipe-out.

Hi!, for all of u wondering about things like this; the people who enters the "race" takes a full trip around the area, included guidance through all the circuit itself with and without the ramps, so they know where they're racing.
Hope that clarifies a little bit of the context, and sorry for my bad english jeje

I'm happy to see they put a ride through a house again, I haven't seen that for about a decade I think. They should do it more often. In general this year's course seemed original with the ride over the roof and other elements.
