Speaking up and voicing concerns and asking questions is absolutely a right. even an obligation of parents . Ms Blackburn has misrepresented the problem : Some parents are physically assaulting and verbally threatening school board members, principals and teachers . @@paulafox30 I am a RETIRED educator who understands the difference between parents who are really concerned and those BLINDLY following political rhetoric because they feel that they have no control. The REAL issue here as Marsha certainly will support is that WHITE parents all over this country want the idea, discussion, history and even suggestion of RACE to simply go away. We will not and we cannot simply say this is okay. I was born in the 40s, grew up in the awful 50s and 60s and well remember never having a textbook marked NEW until I was in my SECOND year of college! BTW: I have a mixed race daughter, grandchildren and family. But my life experience still allows me to understand that the underlying motive that is driving Marsha and parents openly attacking school boards WITHOUT even seeking compromise stinks now as it did in 1865. Also, FYI, my areas of professional endorsement by the TN Dept of Ed were English, African America History and Literature, and Journalism. I am also a military retiree (blessed with dual careers) so my experiences with RACISM extend beyond the state of TN and even the borders of this country. What I PRAY for is a better country for my grandchildren where people like Marsha and you also if you believe in her philosophy no longer can ignore this elephant in the room. It is out and out RACISM.

A cursory glance at where it all stems from tells you exactly where it came from and where it ultimately wants to end up. The frankfut school is credited with its origins. Herbert Marcuse and other Marxist intellectuals coined the neo Marxist movement which was heavily influential in the leftist student movement of the 60's. Those students became professors, that went on and taught other students that all graduated into postions that have impact on the cultural direction societies take. MSM, advertising, government, finance, academia etc. Why we're now seeing an explosion of this woke shit everywhere. The term 'the long march through the institutions' is an age old strategy that Marxist/Communist have used. And its bearing fruit. Find a weak point in society and drive a wedge. USSR, it was class, USA, its race.
The foundation that CRT theorists have is that everything is racist. Then go out and make it so. That's why we see absurd stories about racist boulders, buildings. Math, the muppets and everything in-between.
BLM's co founders, self described trained Marxists. Who trained them? Eric Mann. Their mentor for 10+ years (their words, not mine) A member of the far left terrorist organization in the late 60's, the weather underground. That called for defunding the police. Pulling down statues, ending capitalism, organized riots in major cities.....sound familiar?
