Lol - There other ancient languages than Tamil - for example Sumerian is older than Tamil - Infact Proto dravidian is also older than Tamil - Proto dravidian is mother of Dravidian languages. Tamil might have the oldest recorded literature, not as language. Because lots of ancient languages are spoken orally before written like Sanskrit..

Imposible to predict, but with migration levels in both Europe and Americas, plus people mobility who knows what’s going to happen with the languages you know today. Let’s take English, for example… USA is English top ambassador, but constant migration and mingling with Spanish world will transform the English language you know today. Arabic language impact in Europe?….Food for thought.

Forecast that follow a fix algorithm. Local languages in some regions could pose challenges as well as major economic changes and mass migration have to be considered. e.g. Africa is not a stronghold for French Language as you may believe, there are lots of local languages and both English and Arabic could replace French as lingua Franca in some ex-French colonies.

At least, the data must be ~91M
But that's just if it is, cuz it will be never happen, cuz other ethnic groups they also know how to speak Vietnamese for communicating and working. Or if some people they just wanting to live in their ethnic community, thats must be tiny numbers...

In real, punjabi in Pakistan is dying, because it's not even recognized as the the Punjab province's official language. App. 44% people speak Punjabi as their native language and 70% can speak and understand it. But still it's not the official language of Pakistan. Instead they recognized urdu as their official language . Which is the language of Lucknow. Punjabi isn't even taught in school in Pakistan. The future of punjabi in Pakistan is dark.

More people speak Punjabi in pakistan than India?😂Indian Punjab has it's Punjabi language as official language but you use Urdu not Punjabi. Can you write something in Punjabi first of all? Pakistan destroyed Punjabi language. Punjabi is widely used in India than Pakistan.

@@santhoshv3028well, Punjabi is not taught in Pakistan. But still it is spoken and understood by 60-70 million people in Pakistan as their mother tongue. But the future of punjabi is dark

Indian Biharis who migrated to Pakistan in 1947 used to speak Urdu. Now they rule over rest of them. They have supressed the local punjabis like peasant since then . Pakistani Punjab was the real Punjab where 99.59% people spoke Punjabi but now it's a waste land.

@@desiaadmi9539 okay, you're indian and that's what you think of Pakistan and Punjab. But it's not true. Urdu speakers didn't imposed nd took over the locals in Pakistan Punjab. Eventually, Pakistani punjabis prioritize urdu over punjabi by the local punjabi. They choose to not speak nd not taught to their kids because acc. to them, punjabi isn't a formal language. Pakistani Army contains 70-80% of punjabis. Punjab contributes 60% GDP of Pakistan.

@@its_kataraaa they chose not to teach Punjabi to their kids because according to them Punjabi is the language of sikhs . Urdu is the language of muslims, Farsi and Arabic is the language of rich muslims (so out of scope), Hindi is the language of Hindus, English is the language of Christians, Pashto is the language of uneducated muslims, Bengali is the language of Bengali muslims Etc etc. So Urdu is the only option and is best.
      Right?

India have lot more urdu speakers than Pakistan. And it's one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. India is weighing more here.

@@its_kataraaa but it's national language of 245M Pakistanis.. and They all use it in their daily life no matter whatever is their regional language.
Moreover Punjabi is not a national or official language of any of both countries so have same importance for both. That's why I mentioned number of speakers here..
