bengali is not only bangladeshi it is indian language because bangladesh established in 1971 but bengali is 1100 years old
Tamil(தமிழ்) is the oldest language in the world.above 10cr+ people speak tamil in india, srilanka, malaysia,Singapore also official language
Lol - There other ancient languages than Tamil - for example Sumerian is older than Tamil - Infact Proto dravidian is also older than Tamil - Proto dravidian is mother of Dravidian languages. Tamil might have the oldest recorded literature, not as language. Because lots of ancient languages are spoken orally before written like Sanskrit..

2300 Would be the same accuracy of a bird poop landing on the middle of your head, It's not relevant to assume it could happen.
Lmao @@dragondaniel0574
2100 is already too long to predict, 2300 is a whole another level and would be 99% inaccurate.
Imposible to predict, but with migration levels in both Europe and Americas, plus people mobility who knows what’s going to happen with the languages you know today. Let’s take English, for example… USA is English top ambassador, but constant migration and mingling with Spanish world will transform the English language you know today. Arabic language impact in Europe?….Food for thought.
8 languages from India itself . This shows how diverse the population is . 😮

Our South Indian languages have gone so down 😢

Population inequality. That's what we south Indian are afraid. One day the hindi belt will rule whole India as monopoly
@@santhoshv3028no brother❤speak your mother tongue language but hindi is the most spoken language in india so give it 2nd priority.
@@quirkyplays1226 dude I am not only talking about language. Population inequality will make chaos in politics, economy and etc .. for example the MP seats are stagnant from 1990 ( with 543 seats in parliament). If the reschedule it according to population then power of many states will be gone down and hindi belt region will rule parliament. So whatever you people think will be implemented as your hindi belt state have high power.
Malayalees are immigrating european and American countries. Kerala population was decreasing..
The sheer decline of Mandarin speakers over the course of the 21st century. 😅

Forecast that follow a fix algorithm. Local languages in some regions could pose challenges as well as major economic changes and mass migration have to be considered. e.g. Africa is not a stronghold for French Language as you may believe, there are lots of local languages and both English and Arabic could replace French as lingua Franca in some ex-French colonies.

Everyone makes a decision which languages to speak.
110,000,000 people speak Persian not 57,000,000
That's because of migration and, for other reasons, higher population, on why are some languages have getting higher and higher!
I know English, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, French, and a little bit of Norwegian, Swahili, Italian and Ukrainian

Look like English is a #1 of the most spoken languages worldwide. Some of the languages are declining rapidly as we go into mid-21st century and the end of the 21st century if I’m lucky enough to be alive because I’m 35 years old.
I am learning german and so many people I know learn or know german how is german gonna ever decline like that?
IMPOSSIBLE
Population decline in German speaking countries. The amount of people that actually learn German wouldn't be enough to counter the population decline.
It would be strange if you alone represented a million people 😮
@@imperialstatistics it still would probably stagnate but not decline
@@user-zf8wo1eu4q I said I and other multiple people not just me
Learning German as well. Since Germany is known for ‘all speaking English’, it turns off a lot of foreigners learning it. I don’t agree with this reasoning, but this is what deters a lot of learners from continuing.

According wikipedia,
The number of people who speak Vietnamese was ~86 Million in 2019
Does this video have something wrong!??
U're wrong!!!
With Population's nearly 101M+ for current, the number of people speaking Vietnamese must be more than that, so ur data still wrong or too old
Being a Vietnamese, i have to say 99% people living in Vietnam certainly know how to speak Vietnamese. IF they dont know how to speak, how can they exist in Vietnam.!??
I agree that, it will have some special problem!!! But more than 1Mil is enough, not to be more than that ever.
Remember on ~ 101M people we have 90% people being Vietnamese. In case except other ethnic groups
At least, the data must be ~91M
But that's just if it is, cuz it will be never happen, cuz other ethnic groups they also know how to speak Vietnamese for communicating and working. Or if some people they just wanting to live in their ethnic community, thats must be tiny numbers...
I understand for admin that, the data is so much and it's even in everywhere...so hard to solidify the exact information for all!!!
I just upset that there is no place provide a truly source of information and they don't even really work hard to update new data, so the information we capture is even information from 5-10 years ago...
I used a source called "Ethnologue" which has data for every single language. This is the result
You must be jocking ,where are Angola e Mocambique plus 80 millions plus other small countries NO way 😮😮
No cap, but are you just kidding? Because it doesn't even make sense
I think there is a mix. For some languages here. It is native home language speakers numbers and for other languages it is second language numbers speakers
Correct, I used total number of speakers so if someone speaks English and mandarin, they count in both languages

I can speak english ,Indonesia ,arab ,
日本語 🇯🇵
It’s crazy how English just continues to keep growing. China surpassed it in the 90s and 00s but then English overtook them
Because English is spoken as bilingual in many countries worldwide…and that’s y it adds to it’s number but for the single language speaking countries it wouldn’t make up to that number

Urdu or Arabic will be Kerala official language soon!
Arabic is counted twice--all versions, then each version by region. Love to see breakdowns in English, too. American, British, Australian, New Zealander, Indian, etc.
The reason for the breakdown of Arabic is because each dialect is very different from each other. The source I used "Ethnologue" counts each as it's own language, im not sure there's reliable data on the spread of different types of English as most countries speak the same form just with different accents.
Arabic is horrible, like hebrew & dutch
Arabic dialects isnt exactly like english because they're a mix of native languages with standard arabic in modern arabic countries
I dont think american english had native american influence on it
There is no such thing as Indian english.
Algerian Arabic is quite different from Middle eastern Arabic which can't be understood by each other. While Americans can understand Australian one.
You should've mentioned both India & Pakistan with Punjabi. Because majority of Punjabi speakers are in Pakistan . App 70 to 80 million in Pakistan and 35 to 40 million in India. In real, punjabi in Pakistan is dying, because it's not even recognized as the the Punjab province's official language. App. 44% people speak Punjabi as their native language and 70% can speak and understand it. But still it's not the official language of Pakistan. Instead they recognized urdu as their official language . Which is the language of Lucknow. Punjabi isn't even taught in school in Pakistan. The future of punjabi in Pakistan is dark.

More people speak Punjabi in pakistan than India?😂Indian Punjab has it's Punjabi language as official language but you use Urdu not Punjabi. Can you write something in Punjabi first of all? Pakistan destroyed Punjabi language. Punjabi is widely used in India than Pakistan.
@@santhoshv3028well, Punjabi is not taught in Pakistan. But still it is spoken and understood by 60-70 million people in Pakistan as their mother tongue. But the future of punjabi is dark
Indian Biharis who migrated to Pakistan in 1947 used to speak Urdu. Now they rule over rest of them. They have supressed the local punjabis like peasant since then . Pakistani Punjab was the real Punjab where 99.59% people spoke Punjabi but now it's a waste land.
@@desiaadmi9539 okay, you're indian and that's what you think of Pakistan and Punjab. But it's not true. Urdu speakers didn't imposed nd took over the locals in Pakistan Punjab. Eventually, Pakistani punjabis prioritize urdu over punjabi by the local punjabi. They choose to not speak nd not taught to their kids because acc. to them, punjabi isn't a formal language. Pakistani Army contains 70-80% of punjabis. Punjab contributes 60% GDP of Pakistan.
@@its_kataraaa they chose not to teach Punjabi to their kids because according to them Punjabi is the language of sikhs . Urdu is the language of muslims, Farsi and Arabic is the language of rich muslims (so out of scope), Hindi is the language of Hindus, English is the language of Christians, Pashto is the language of uneducated muslims, Bengali is the language of Bengali muslims Etc etc. So Urdu is the only option and is best.
Right?
More speak Punjabi Pakistan not Indian area
Pakistan has much more Punjabi speakers then India still Thay say it's indian language. Thankfully there is Pakistani flag with at least Urdu language...
India have lot more urdu speakers than Pakistan. And it's one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. India is weighing more here.
@@its_kataraaa but it's national language of 245M Pakistanis.. and They all use it in their daily life no matter whatever is their regional language.
