From now on, I want the children of my country to receive presents on Christmas. If you don't visit because of me, I will accept my lump of coal." Honestly that was my first comic with him in it I saw and i immediately realized he's gonna be one of my favorite characters in DC ( or maybe I have a problem with idolizing superpowered dictators with a heart of gold )

If you’re wondering why it’s so impressive that Apocalypse can take a hit from Black Bolt: Black Bolt literally cannot speak because he’s so strong. A single whisper can create a sonic blast powerful enough to destroy a mountain.

@@theduckgoesmoo actually no. blackbolt's voice is not a sonic blast. it actually has more to do with matter manipulation. his voice is so damn strong, that at it's strongest, it created the vault, a multi-light year long hole in reality that lead to another reality.

That was a sick death, not only did Apocalypse smash Adam's head repeatedly under foot, but in Adam's final moments Apocalypse made him watch as his country continues to Fall. Also Giant Apocalypse was an amazing sequence
Also Trunks from Dragon Ball Heroes is on a whole nother Level when compared to regular Trunks from Z and what ever brief knowledge you have on him in Super
You gotta admit. Apocalypse has a pretty chilling voice and some very badass lines.
A lot of people equate Thanos to Darkseid, but Apocalypse might be a better comparison to Darkseid on Marvel's side.
Also "undying body" just means he doesn't age, not that he can't be killed.
I mean, Darkseid is an outerversal god, that's beyond the concept of death and creates puppet avatars to interact with the lower tiers of reality.
Comparing specific avatar instances might be more apt. But yes, his basic mutant power is just eternal style un-aging, with an overclocked body.
The song that plays during this fight is 'Fallen Gods' by Brandon Yates, with Omega Sparx and Swats providing vocals. Omega and Swats have participated in Death Battle osts before, with both working on 'Watts Up Danger' for 'Static Shock vs Miles Morales' alongside JT Music, and Omega working on 'Kings of Infinity' for 'Thanos vs Darkseid' alongside Brandon.
Omega Sparx actually first helped with "Fight Like a Devil" (Ryu vs Jin). Incidentally, a pre-existing Omega Sparx track was used in an even more prior battle (TJ Combo's theme from modern Killer Instinct).
I find it neat that they’re using Trunks from Dragon Ball Heroes & Silver from the Archie comics. If they used Silver from the games against Trunks from Z or Super, it would’ve been a stomp in Trunks’ favor.
Fun Fact: The actors that played both Black Adam and Apocalypse in Live Action films (The Rock and Oscar Isaac) also played two different characters that is Egyptian related. The Rock played Scorpion King in the The Mummy films while Oscar Isaac plays a different Marvel character that is Moon Knight in the MCU.
Other opponents discussed for Trunks are Cable, who you remember from a previous battle, and Crono from the video game Chrono Trigger, who's another time traveling swordsman designed by Toriyama.
Apocalypse is crazy in the comics
They really toned him down in the 2016 x-men live film.

This is one of those Death Battles you don't fully agree with, but don't fully disagree with either.!
"Are Yellow Lanterns that strong?" Yes. Any individual color lantern (Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Indigo and Pink) is pretty much on par with one another. The only Lanterns stronger than them are White Lanterns (which is when all the Lantern Lights combine) and Black Lanterns (AKA _death itself.)_
Yeah this Death Battle tricked me too. I'm not too familiar with either character, so when I saw that Apocalypse had an exploitable weakness, (no Death Seed, no Apocalypse) I had no doubt in my mind Black Adam would win. But as a pissed off nerd with admin privileges once said,

Also, "evil Joker Batman" is an alternate Batman from the Dark Multiverse known as The Batman Who Laughs. Basically, Bats finally snapped and killed Joker, but this caused Bats to be infected by a strain of Joker Venom that turned Batman himself into Joker and made him kill his family and then the Justice League themselves

I should add: It's not just "Trunks vs. Silver" it's Heroes Trunks vs. Archie Silver, AKA the single most overpowered versions of both characters
Black Adam is effectively the DC counterpart of Doctor Doom in terms of his motivation
Uh, just a heads up: The Trunks you’re going to see in the next episode is NOT the one from the anime/manga. They’re actually using a version of him from a spin-off called “Dragon Ball Heroes” (basically a series that’s as complicated as kingdom hearts and has a shit ton of fan service)
And the version of Silver he’s fighting is coming from the Archie comics timeline (the same timeline used to figure out Sonic vs Flash)
In short, both Trunks and Silver are being buffed to absolutely insane levels.

Apocalypse has almost one shot Thor by accident and by his words the only reason he didnt die from a suppressed bitch slap is that he was drunk off his ass and was loose enough to not break everything. The dude also straight up took over the entire planet taking down omega level and beyond omega level threats along the way hardly ever breaking a sweat.

Apocalypse was a Mortal with the power of Shapeshifting, given a Method to mix Organic and Inorganic. and used a device that changed his Shapeshifting to have Psychic Properties. allowing him to basically restructure anything. to the point where he can walk up to gods and say "this is mine now"
Apocalypse is probably one of the Few Marvel Characters that can beat most of the DC cast
if DC is known for Asspulls. and Marvel is known for being reasonable, Apocalypse lands in the middle
You missed the best joke of the episode in the nint mobile add when they slammed their former owner AT&T, it was nice to see them be able to get this jive in and get a little payback as on their podcast they actually talked a bunch of shit about AT&T phone plans, got in trouble and the next podcast they all took a moment to say how much they like their phone from AT&T
His only weakness is high order lvl magic or if he gets struck by his own Shazam! Lightning bolt turning him back into his mortal form. Also Black Adam slaughters Apocalypse. Death Battle gets a lot of fights wrong

I’ve heard of all of those and knew they were fast I just never looked into any of them. I like fast things probably because of sports whether it’s playing or watching. I’m a pretty fast person too so I might be biased

Oooooh that’s a good question I really liked the jinx one
I was having a bad day when this Death Battle dropped, and I wasn't really looking forward to watching it either. No offense to anyone that likes Black Adam, he's a cool character and all, and I can see the appeal, but Black Adam was just everywhere for me at some point. He has his own movie coming soon, he was announced as a playable fighter in Multiversus, and all and all I just kept seeing him appear everywhere. So when Death Battle announced Black Adam versus Apocalypse, I wasn't exactly looking forward to it. I was aware of Adam's power, so I figured that this would be a free win for him. I knew a lot about Apocalypse, he's one of my favorite Marvel villains, so knowing that Adam was going to shred him to bits didn't up my hopes for this episode. I watched the analysis for both characters, then when the fight started, I fully accepted Apocalypse's non-canon death with open arms. Then, as the fight ended, my heart almost stopped when Adam had his face stomped in the first time. Apocalypse pulled out a win, and not just any win, one of the most brutal deaths Death Battle has ever given us. That win made my day, and I am truly sorry to any Black Adam fans out there, but Adam getting his face stomped in five times, Apocalypse holding him up by his head to watch the destruction of his city, and then having his brains fried out was truly the medicine I needed. This is why I love Death Battle. Also great reaction 👍
