Hi Michelle,
I finally got my fo ti order from Mountain Rose. I made a tea with fo ti, green tea, cloves, and black seeds. I steeped the tea and mixed the warm tea with henna. I put the henna mixture on my hair overnight; about 8 hours. I believe there was a slightly darker orange shade on my grey strands. I followed up with indigo (salt and aloe vera) for 8 hours. I only rinsed with water. 24 hours later, I oiled, shampooed, and conditioned my hair. Thursday night henna, Friday indigo, Saturday oil, shampoo, and condition. Tuesday, it already looks like the color is fading, I am tempted to dye my hair to get complete grey coverage. Side note, I really noticed my hair has gotten stronger and thicker using Ayurvedic herbs. I have been doing your last hair challenge. I am on week four. Thanks for all the great info.
I wanted to add, I think it is the indigo that is fading. My grey strands are orange and not as dark as when I first rinsed out the indigo. I want a dark brown color. I will even be happy with black. I just don't like the orange/reddish color.
Applying oil or conditioner within the first 48 hours after a henna/ indigo treatment can lift the color before it's set especially if you wash the hair, too.
@@nedume.2223 For some reason I thought henna and indigo only needed 24 hours to set. I will wait 48 hours the next time. I will say, my hair didnt feel as dry as I thought it would. Using henna on grey hair is no joke. I appreciate your advice,
@@ladyc8256 Yes they generally recommend 48-36 hours without any products for maximum binding properties. I generally use my leave In because I dont want my hair to dry out. Indigo can be hard to bind and may take more then one application. I love the herbs but its not always easy to get the color the first time.
@@ladyc8256 no problem. It's not like we can't use leave-in conditioner to avoid dryness.
Thank you for sharing the details. You know we’re gonna need the details on how you did that hairstyle! Super cute.💥🫶🏽🌺
I got you sis. It was a last minute updo

Just placed a trial order can't wait, I stopped using Ayurveda herbs because of the itching, but I'm giving it another try👍💪😏
Thanks for taking time to so this video and keep us up to date with this new herb. I love how you’re tying it so many ways before you go to something else. And thanks for telling us about all the properties and benefits. I’d like to know do you retwist your hair every night with that gorgeous style as well as how you did it. And thanks for the sale😊
Hey sis, I don’t retwist every night. Just put my hair in a top knot bun at night then take it down
You use all natural herbal shampoo
